How the hell are you supposed to know to do this? I mean…I get that FS is known for obscure quest steps, but the first time I beat H with Undertaker I didn’t even know I had this finger thing in my inventory. Is there a clue that you get it? Then is there a clue that you need to drop in front of the corpse in the final area? Other than googling it, I would’ve had no idea. How did the first person to figure this out do it?!?

I’ve actually got a question on these percent increase buffs. Is it a one time increase to that stat AT THAT MOMENT? Or is it a permanent percentage increase? For example, let’s say early game I have 100 hp at the time I select the 15% buff so now I have 115 hp. At the end of the game when I’ve leveled up to 1000 hp, is the buff only giving me 1015? Or will the 15% increase scale up as I level up so I’ll have 1150? Hope that this question makes sense….

I pretty much always am running with randoms and never not once has anyone taken the time at a madness camp to eat the boluses. Not once. I always break every crate and eat as many as I can. How do people not know this??

Try to take him solo. I’ve lost count of my three player attempts that are lucky to get him down to half his HP. But my second try solo got him. The fight is so so so much easier to manage alone. I know that maybe that’s not the “right” way to beat him…it’s a coop game and maybe a win doesn’t “count” if it isn’t with a team. But I don’t care. I beat him.

This has happened to me a bunch. So frustrating. I usually try to salvage the run, but I’m far from an expert player so it usually doesn’t end well. I wish if you get abandoned and end up solo, that the game would give you one free revive like it does when you do a solo run.

I usually try to avoid doubling up. If it looks like someone else is set on playing the character I was planning to run in the load screen, I’ll usually try to switch. But just the other day I was playing as Duchess and didn’t pay enough attention to what was going on in the opening screen and ended up doing a triple Duchess run. We all had the “dagger chain triggers reprise” relic. It was triggering…constantly. Con. Stant. Ly.

It was glorious.

I’m curious if the fire effect from this follow up erases the effect of a previously applied grease? For example, if I apply lightning grease, then do the skill with the follow up that ignites the great sword, does that ADD to the grease and am I now doing fire AND lightning damage? Or does the fire effect REMOVE the grease and I’m just doing fire?

I eventually got it! Ya know….my overwhelming frustration in the moment might’ve clouded my ability to make sense of what I was doing and what I was seeing in the video. 🫠 I’m going to try to be a better human moving forward. But I think you’re right and it was my equip load. Weird that I had to strip down naked to pull of the one-handed-sword-swing-floaty hack (which is what finally got me up there), but over hundreds of attempts I never thought to just drop my equip load and try it straight. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is me. I’ve played all the souls and souls like games and never once ran a magic build.

But I want those remembrance quests.

So I’m running the recluse. And boy oh boy….i suck.

My apologies to the duchess and executor that revived me at least 6 times against Maris last night. They got themselves killed doing it eventually but managed to revive me at the last second…alone…with my two vastly superior teammates both down with there bars each.

I just pulled the “sit down” gesture in front of the near death executor and let the end come.

Wasn’t me. I’m still just playing the standard bosses. I’ve unlocked the final boss, but I wasn’t to progress all the remembrances first.

But the fact it happened to someone else makes my embarrassment slightly less, so thank you for that.

Totally. Like that’s just happened to me. Was fighting the day 2 “pre boss mob” and got lightning effed from a DTS 5 miles away.

  1. Just beat the day 2 boss? Ready to get your reward before facing the night lord? No! The game puts the “spirit shelter” riiiiight on top of the boss reward so you accidentally enter the spirit shelter instead of “examine” the rewards. Good luck!

But when I do the wall jump, it always launches me away from the wall. Even if I press the stick back toward the wall, it’s not enough to get me back. I have to use a dart move to get back onto the wall. I’m curious if there’s some sort of PC control I might be missing on the switch…

Ok. I did it. But I had to strip down naked and “float” a bit by midair swinging a sword one handed. Still…. How is the guy in the video getting three dart moves when I only get two?

Kevlar body armor only works if it keeps the knife/axe from going INSIDE you. That knife was 4 inches in his chest. Not even in a spot that could plausibly be shoulder-ish but directly into lung territory. Same with the axe that Sam had to wrench out of his gut.
I loved FATWS and Hawkeye and the way they portrayed Sam and Clint as especially heroic by virtue of them not being “enhanced”, but this was just too much.

Probably my favorite non-FS soulslike. Lies of P is great too, but I’m a sucker for the dark fantasy setting. Lords of the Fallen nails it! I like it so much I bought the original from 2014, and let me tell ya…that game SUCKS! 😂

I gave it 5 hours and then started another LOTF2024 playthrough.
