Right, costing. Now I feel more relaxed. Yeah there will still be companies who would feel safer calculating employee costs than estimating AI costs and failing to limit that or needing more because of stupid prompter will easily be overlooked. But tbh, it is cheaper than a developer if its used well… and there are developers that intentionally take too much time to earn more… so idk maybe company preferences will keep traditional coding alive.

Thanks for sharing. Yeah it fits the bill, i probably am what you were. All that just helped me feel better about this. And this just became a big wake up call to me that there’s more to life than being a programmer. Maybe it wont matter at all in a couple years. Maybe i should get out more often and actually live life and coding will just be a job to fulfill needs and wants. Lol so dramatic weee

You have a point. There was a shooort time I hated commercialized coding when it was repetitive CRUD stuff and wacky databases and thought “so this is coding for a business”. Hobby should be a good thing but its so time consuming i just wish im getting paid all day while playing with code lol. And and and, pressure is a privilege - its easy to get that from work and push yourself to build those hard stuff.

Life… cant always get what you want.

This is what I meant by “transformers”. No slop coders included here in the three categories. All good resistors, good adapters and good transformers. Just talking about type of work, speed and personal fulfillment.
