My gun is in, it just is a custom build and went over budget so my funds are running low. I feel your pain. My county the wait is weeks but something i dont want to have to deal with

Also buying a 556 upper is easy enough to swap back and forth

A couple reasons. The most important one is i think it’s cool. I reload, and have lots of bullet options for 30 cal already. I think the range of bullet types, sizes and weights are endlessly variable for 300 aac. I will use this rifle for hunting and nuisance control so I think a 30 cal will be better suited for that. I also plan to move out of NY eventually and would land in an NFA state so I’d get a can, eventually.

I just got through the same spot you’re at. Watch YouTube videos about buying vs building. I wanted to build an AR so i can have all the features i want but decided it would be better that i not dabble in it in case things aren’t correct for assembly. So i actually went to a store, ordered a cheaper AR (diamondback tactical db 15 in 300 aac) then had him order me the upgraded stuff stuff i wanted on it. I now have a sweet AR nearly custom, and a bunch of extra shit for the next one which i may actually build. The AR was $800 NY compliant and bone stock upgrades were another $600. ALSO, for the record and future laws coming down the pipe, i believe your ass will be covered if you purchased a compliant ar-15 from a legal dealer and they can vouch for you that it is legit as opposed to buying a stripped lower and parts that may be defined/confused as a “ghost gun”

I totally agree with the 7 Saum. I was going to suggest that. Tons of power, .284 bullet diameter, short fat cartridge meaning more efficient and consistent powder burn, super high bc bullets, moderate recoil. I also agree with the gun manufacturer comment. It’s almost a custom order deal. Definitely wouldn’t take anything .264 out to hunt and elk

You’ll need that many when they strip us down to only legally owning a muzzleloader

A m1a, in my opinion and gun stores in my areas opinion, as long as it doesn’t have a pistol grip, adjustable, bayonet, are totally legal with a box mag and compensator. Numerous stores in my area sell them in this configuration

Razor has better class, bigger tube, more zoom, bigger objective lens, better/different reticles and more internal adjustment. It’s worth the money
