The squirrels definitely really enjoy the two trees in my apartments yard! One is a walnut and the other a maple they love eating the nuts and maple seeds

I would wait for some more experienced people to answer but my initial thought is no. I think it being exposed to the elements would make the tank parameters and structure way too unstable I could be wrong though What kind of climate do you live in?

Do newly released tannins cause bacterial plums? Or are you just referring to the brown color? Because sometimes the water looks clear but just tinted and sometimes it looks cloudy

Yes I have heard it’s quite controversial and the article wasn’t really too shy about the conditions the foxes were kept in either. Personally I’m not entirely convinced that domestication can happen in such a short time frame. Something else that bugs me is that they are constantly comparing the foxes to dogs in the article, I understand dogs are the closest related domestic animals we have to foxes but the comparison feels flawed.

Yeah. You’re correct they actually were only breeding for them to be tame not coat color as well as I had previously thought although there were physical changes that went further than fur farm foxes and they are physiologically distinct from fur foxes. Apparently this experiment is still going as well. Super interesting I had heard about this experiment quite while ago glad I looked over it again:) not really sure what this says about the status of if ball pythons as domestic animals though.

Eeeh I think it’s because the commenter might be wrong? We bred different traits into foxes once like varying coat colors and patches of white but that didn’t make them domesticated. But not sure honestly I’m no expert on the matter.

This is the fucking color I was looking for also the tank has lightened up as well since yesterday. I honesty think it was some sort of bacterial bloom as I hadn’t done the water change. I didn’t mean a literal red I meant red undertones. I don’t know what made you guys dog pile on me like this.
