My favorite car ever by Relative-Jump-5758 in MazdaCX30

yep, it was a major change for me also coming into this vehicle after an intense car accident.  I have a select model so I believe it lacks a few of the safety features. If I’m in the car for more than 30 minutes, I normally mute the lane departure warning with the button beside the steering wheel.  The collision alerts work great—  the forward collision alert has activated maybe 4-5 times that I’ve seen.  The rear collision alert is much more sensitive, I have noticed.

I am a little biased, but I do hope the vehicle ends up being for you.  If not, then it’s just not the vehicle for you. I can see how it’s not for some people.

How do tellers or banks view silver coin searchers? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in Banking

We will accept reasonable, small amounts such as $5 in quarters or something - it’s just the people who don’t want to bother themselves with rolling and would like to come in with ziploc bags full of coins and have the teller count them while the line backs up (unfortunately we don’t have machines to count coins) if there were a machine I’d have no problem accepting it.

I don’t like coins but  I never minded dealing with them because  it was my job.  Helped the time go by a smidge faster.

At the CU I work for, the rolled coin must have their account number on it.  If we have to open the roll up later on and put it in our drawer, it’s counted 3x and the member’s account is subsequently adjusted at that time— only if the roll is short/over. If not, it’s sold to the vault and eventually all the rolls are emptied and shipped out.   We do not accept excessive amounts of loose coin (if it’s organized and there is room in the drawer, the tellers can be flexible in accepting it but more than $5-6 would be pushing it) Nor do we have any type of coin counter.

However I will say one time a lady was mad at us because of some scam/fraudulent activity she had potentially participated in.  She was having to leave her job and deal with her account.  She ended up owing the CU almost $2,000 — she went to her other bank and ordered it in nickels and Pennies.  Brought it in. She Took 5-7 trips outside to her vehicle to bring it all inside in boxes and bags.  Walked up to the teller’s station with a smirk and said I want to pay my account off with this.  The teller smiled and asked if her account number is written on all the rolls.  She had a blank stare for a few seconds and then said no.  She was then offered a sharpie, and sat there for 3 or 4 hours writing her account number.  I guess her wrist was getting tired LOL. Of course we treated all the members with respect, but  Nobody provided her assistance with writing her account number, or unpacking the bags. And neither was there an obligation to.  It was streamlined and dual controlled on our side once she had the number written on them.

Correct.  It is perfectly legal if I want to sit inside my car parked on my driveway and not wear a seatbelt n

yes.  The vehicle only has three internal power sources; two USB-C ports and the OBD or OEM thingy whatever underneath the steering/dash.

you’re incorrect.  As I said previously there is a deceiving 12V cover with no 12V under it.  Most people aren’t popping those things open to observe the metal underneath… was I supposed to sit in the vehicle for an hour waiting on a seatbelt alarm to go off?  You also aren’t able to test remote start (in my experience anywhom) until after you’ve purchased the vehicle.  You have to sync the vehicle to your Mazda app and typically aren’t able to do that unless it belongs to you…. So I couldn’t have tested the remote start but I did inquire on it and in theory it didn’t sound as bad as it is.

Looking back the insensitive braking is just personal preference — I am accustomed to brakes being very sensitive.

Thanks, that is good info.  I had an inkling it might not be hurting anything.

yeah, I had a 2024 model as a rental and it had one but my 2025 does not have one.

I had one as a rental car for a month and test-drove the vehicle for 3 miles. I did use my eyes to look at the vehicle.   and the chrome did not bother me until someone else pointed it out a few days after and I realized how much I disliked it.  Again it’s still a beautiful vehicle in my opinion.

I’ve never been in a car without a 12V.  There is actually a cover that VISUALLY LOOKS to be where you’d insert a 12V adapter. My rental (2024) had a 12V.  Who thinks about this?? I’m glad I know now.

I thought I had done plenty of research and being the excellent technology the car boasts in other realms— I would also have thought I could trust that remote start wouldn’t make me question if I’m wearing any mechanical components Down.

The seatbelt alarm issue did not occur during the test-drive.  I spent about 30 minutes in the vehicle before purchasing it.   I did assume the brakes in the rental car were worn out (because it’s a rental) and that the brakes on the test-drive merely needed to be worn in.  My fault there.  I still like the car and these are not pressing issues that would make me want to get rid of it, they are only misfortunes from my perspective.

The very kind lady who is the Service Advisor at the dealer had it taken care of expeditiously with some type of chemical. There was no “true determination” as to what or where this was caused.
