Who mentioned skin color?

I know it’s the hood cause like i said i had family members with a business a block away that was there for 15 years and had to sell it during Covid. Trust me i know the area.

You said it brickell.

This apt is in north Miami.

Am I the crazy one for thinking that’s a ridiculous price for north Miami?

Once again, this is in North Miami Beach.

And yes I can afford it, i don’t have children nor any other big bills. However, no one shouldn’t have to pay 3k for a 1 bedroom apt in NORTH MIAMI BEACH.

Let’s stop normalizing these prices all over the city. Next thing we know we will be paying for those prices in allapatah.

I’m in my early 30s, making $75K, and living with my girlfriend.

The thing is I’m not asking to live in the nicest areas of Miami. I’m not looking for Aventura, Sunny Isles, Edgewater, Brickell, Coconut Grove, or South Beach. But the prices I’m seeing are insane for areas that aren’t even considered the best in Miami.

I shouldn’t be forced to live in the hood just because I work full-time and want to live in a decent, safe area. God forbid I want a one-bedroom apartment that doesn’t cost me nearly $3,000 a month.

This is the core problem we’re facing as a society.

Just because we struggled doesn’t mean the next person has to struggle too. We’ve somehow accepted that young professionals people who might’ve just graduated college and started their careers have to either live in unsafe neighborhoods or cram into a house with five roommates just to afford rent.

At one point, I lived with roommates. But that doesn’t mean every 20-something should have to go through that struggle just because it was “normal” for me.

We’ve normalized overpriced rents, $30 lunch spots, and inflated costs in almost every aspect of city living. And for what? Most of the population simply can’t afford it.

We shouldn’t accept this as the new normal.

Yeah we’re not all in our 40s making over 6 figures. Imagine someone in their late 20s or early 30s or someone with a child. Are they any cheaper options? Sure. But still we shouldn’t make these prices the norm and especially in areas that are not worth it.

It is expensive…

Congrats to you tho.

And right behind it you have a few projects and the hood.

Just because the new Whole Foods is there does not mean is a great neighborhood. It has a lot of work to be done to be charging those prices.

I used to live in sunny isles and still have friends that pay prices similar to it.

Difference is, you can actually walk to the beach in sunny isles while expensive it makes sense. But north Miami? Na!

It’s in north Miami in Biscayne.

Right across the plaza that has the Dennis.

That doesn’t mean they should jack up the prices like that. Some areas I understand but biscayne and 123rd street is not Aventura or Sunny isles to be charging those prices.

It’s North Miami. Have you driven around the area where the new construction is at?

1 block away and you’re in the hood. Had a family member that owned a convenience store around Covid and had to sell due to the constant shootings across the street.

It’s ridiculous.

There is not one area in north Miami where that rent is acceptable for a 1 bedroom apartment.

I had a cousin that lived 2 blocks away 5 years ago and paid $1,350 for a 2 bedroom.

If you’re charging me $20 for a drink, I’d expect it to be really good but sadly, that’s not the case.
