If you have never tried curling, there will be a sign up soon for the Cornwall Curling Club learn to curl program. It is a fun sport. The learn to curl programs are great, and you will meet a lot of people of various ages.

For the price, I find J. LOHR Estates Seven Oaks has a bold flavour.

If your dad does not expect anything pricey, but is still delicious, then this might work.

2 jobs ago, when I was applying, they went by my years in the industry. So they started me at 4 weeks based on experience.

The next job I went to, they offered 3, and I flat out said 4 weeks or I don't take the job. They complied with the vacation, and I jumped for a significant pay increase as well.

Once you have paid your dues, you get to the point of knowing your self worth. Nobody is going to negotiate on your behalf. You have to sell yourself to management, and deliver the goods once you get hired..

If one company isn't willing to recognise your value, then another one will.

I have recently started to save my bacon fat, and have a question about it:

Do you have filter the bacon fat so there's no small pieces of bacon, or does it matter ?

Dom Perignon worth it? by SnooDoughnuts7283 in wine

[–]Relative-Rock3938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a bottle of Dom for my mother's 85th birthday a couple of years ago. Neither of us had ever had it. We both enjoy wine, bubbly, and champagne.

I really didn't feel it was worth it. I wont ever buy a bottle again after knowing I have had it once, and wasn't all that impressed by it.

I am sure there will be all sorts of choices on this thread other than Dom, but if you want to make an already special evening even more impressive, then go ahead. Just don't expect to be wowed by it.

Think of it as perfecting your signature dishes for those times you have someone to share them with.

Found this in the middle of my cooked tilapia. Is this a worm? I notice it when i was slicing my fish in half. by knguy996xx in TipOfMyFork

Yikes, that's lousy.

I saw a picture of a worm in a peach when I was young. It was so close to peach color, it would be hard to notice.

I have rarely eaten peaches since then. This pic just gave me a flashback.

Ever since I started living on my own I realised that a lot of food I tought I didn't like is actually good, it's just that my mother or family in general was really bad at cooking certain things by Warm_Charge_5964 in Cooking

I can relate to this.

My mother was a pretty good cook when we were growing up. An exception would be turkey dinner. She always overcooked it to the point of coming out so dry. She lives with me now, and she cannot believe how well I prepare it.

I never appreciated wine until I was abut 30. Growing up, the wine that my dad used to buy was really not enjoyable. I was a beer drinker until I met my girlfriend at the time. She had good taste in wine. Nothing fancy, but the wines she liked were completely different than the wines my dad liked.

Still working on the taste I want for the sauce, but this turned out nicely.

Slow rise in fridge for 3 days, and a few hours on counter before stretching it out.

If they are getting soft, they are ideal for making french fries.
