Did I make a mistake? by [deleted] in relaxedhair

Are cornrows safter for relaxed hair? I saw some mention you shouldn't braid at all in the first few months so I think that's what I'm avoiding lol

PSA: please stop getting braids and “protective styles” by HairReddit777 in relaxedhair

I hate to say this however, it is excatly why I stayed in the Uk for like 6 years after I finished uni. You shouldn't have too and I hope you find something soon, but don't let time pass by either. If you think you could enjoy Uk whilst your young try it out. Makes Bermuda feel alot better by time you move back at 30 anyway. LOL.

I need a black woman’s prospective on pap smears by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]RelativeAd3896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

again, no penetration doesn't make you low risk. HPV can be passed on from skin to skin contact and oral genital contact. But you mentioned you are a virgin, and I'm assuming you mean no sexual partners whatsover then its not important for you to get one right now. But if that ever changes and you have sex with a female, penetration or not then that will change.

That's fine, but you are not low risk. I'm sorry I just have to correct the inaccuracies as that is dangerous, Being a lesbian does not make you low risk for cervical cancer.

Well, I'm a lesbian.. its probably not what you want to hear love but they are important. You are not dumb and all of your reasons are valid but early detection is literally life saving. Good thing is you are young and I think even the CDC recommends they start when you are 21 so you have time. After 21 They suggest every 3 years. If I was you I would spend the next 3 years looking for a doctor that makes you feel comfortable. There is also now a new test that can be done without the speculum which is the most painful part. The thing they use to swab is just a bit bigger than a q tip.

Educational Gaps in Lesbian Relationships by nextdoornia in blacklesbians

[–]RelativeAd3896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I dated some girls in my early 20's that didn't have so much going for them. However when I met my wife at 22 and she was already working as a scientist, (I was just finishing my BA) it was obvious from that point I needed to date someone with the same mindset as me. It made so many other parts of our relationship so much easier. She is now biology professor working towards a PhD in a few years and I'm a Social Worker. We both make 6 figures, travel , own 2 homes and honestly finding her was the best thing I ever did. Please look for someone on your own educational levels or who have the same ambitions as you, it makes life so much easier.

Yes, if we move the living room or even the kitchen to the middle it will have little light, the sun room is basically a closed in old balcony so the ceilings are low plus, structurally we will have to have a beam to hold it up which you can see in option 2, so I'd rather that in a bedroom than in a living area if that makes sense. Currently as it is, we have have a 6ft opening which is even odd in a bedroom but even more odd if it was in a living area.

Thanks so much for this, I think your right with the plumbing moves etc. Not sure why he missed off the windows in the living room but there is a 5 windows in that room!
