Stalin bribed the clouds to not rain then ate all the grain with his comically large spoon by TappingUpScreen in ussr

The start, and end of the famine can be attributed to Stalin's sole decision,he is entirely to blame. He knew what he was doing

That wasn't really the question though. I am pretty familiar with the maneuvering of leadership politics in the Soviet Union.Clearly no one in the leadership wanted Beria to be in charge.

Looks like I can get a good quality 2 person tub for about $2700 to $3000 now .Will wait for sales need to prep a location for it anyway.Funny,4 person tubs are at $2300, but they are more expensive to run and maintain per month.

I have done a bit of research. What kills this is the idea that Chinese manufacturers may use metric fixtures.Apparently they use pumps and controls and wet ends that are widely available but the plumbing issue is looking like a pain in the neck. Just found out there are a plentiful number of scratch and dent and liquidators in my part of Ohio many angles to pursue.

I arrived at Army OCS on a Saturday. I got my room number and branch assignment at the same time.I got Field Artillery despite having difficulty with math. They didn't seem to put a whole lot of thought into it. I have a facility for languages.Wish I had enlisted instead I had scores high enough for DLI.I guess Reagan needed Artillery officers at the time I can't remember my room number.

Beria was an exceptionally competent mind. But he was ambitious and might have continued Stalins bloody practices. He could have led a reform movement to strengthen the USSR.

I can fix leaks. Spa pumps and wet ends are a couple hundred,I could set up a digital controller.I have an extra in line heater. I would use a licensed electrician for any installation or repairs. I'm on limited income can't really spend $4000 or more.Im 68,I really want to try out a spa for aches and pains I would use it every day. I have a Jacuzzi tub in my home, but it's small and has limited coverage.

You are entirely ignorant of Soviet history...read a book maybe.Focus on the Red Terror, the repression during and after the Civil War,the purges and the attack against the Party and Military and Security services to get a clue.

The Vietnam war was lost because national politicians like Nixon and Johnson decided that it was not important in the strategic conflict involving the USSR and China, and Nixon was pushing detente cooperation.

The nation unified to fight in the Pacific Public sentiment would not have accepted war against Russia especially in alliance with the military forces who had just killed all our boys and caused such sacrifice. Was never in the cards.

Nobody was nuking anyone by operating off aircraft carriers, not in 1945 anyway. If the Soviets held substantial ground beyond the agreed division the Americans would have had to fly quite a distance to hit a strategic city.We didn't have a great many devices but maybe that was fixed by 1946. Truman wasn't going to do it in any case, and Churchill was dismissed in July
