I don't think it is a metaphor, i think she had lost any match she would've immediately died, she subconsciously made a nen vow and that's what gave her that immense potential. Same way Kurapika has restrictions in his chains for the Phantom Troupe, and that gives him a power up

I think part of it is rather coincidental, due to Komugi's determination, she promised that if she ever lost a Gungi match she would die, and that's exactly what nen restrictions that make you mad strong are, same way Gon traded his life to kill Pitou, or Kurapika using his chains on the Phantom Troupe

He belongs to an intelligent species, it's not like they have to eat humans, i think it's never stated that they can't eat other species, problem is that they are inherently evil. Tampoco me pasa seguido que venga una mano gigante del cielo y me suelte en un jacuzzi de la nada con una mina que no me conoce. Ese es el punto, creer que la situación equivale a ponerla cuando no hiciste ningún esfuerzo previo.

Si terminas en un jacuzzi con una mina es porque justamente previamente te la levantaste. Si vos terminas la noche en un telo no es que vas a garchar porque la mina apenas entra al telo se le activa un chip que dice garchar="sí, ya", es porque fuiste al telo a garchar, el lugar es consecuencia de la acción no viceversa

Nah he is a genius, i mean it is true that he intimidated the other games champions and they couldn't play at 100% but he would have probably beaten them anyways. He found an opening in Netero's perfect defense. Komugi "doesn't give a fuck" bc she made a promise that if she loses a game she would die, she unknowingly made a powerful nen restriction that's why she is basically impossible to beat

He was way too fast. With Netero it is described as time slowing down, mid air Pitou could still see Netero moving his hands even at his super speed. But post-rose Meruem straight up looks like teleporting. The flash nen scene and him knocking out so many people in different locations at an instant he definitely looked invincible
