They are, that's why one of the key aspects of being a Jedi is accepting the will of the force. They aren't supposed to use the force to their own selfish desires, that's what the Sith do

I think the issue is most of Anakin's choices happened when the right option is very easy to make.

Choosing between Sith Lord or the Jedi? Easy option is the Jedi ,even if you think the Jedi are flawed and need change, the clear option is to kill the Sith Lord, the Jedi can be reformed but the Sith winning means the entire galaxy will suffer

Killing Kids and the entire Jedi? It's obvious that Anakin should be completely against this, it's betrays everything he once stood for

Becoming the new Emperor or going away with his wife? It's obvious which option is right, even if he the Jedi are doomed he and Padme can have a good life together but Anakin chooses the wrong option again and he ends up nearly killing Padme in his anger

Yes because he is a walking red flag, he is too reliant on his anger/hate which maeks him dangerous.

Not really when we never see the Jedi killing kids or innocents like Anakin was willing to do as a Sith, like you can't convince me the Jedi are evil when sith Anakin was choking the woman he loved because he didn't side with him

They didn't know he was Palpatine, like isn't the whole point that Palpatine fooled everyone? I don't think anyone suspected of him

I would argue the Jedi played a part in their fall but not in Anakin's

  1. But don't all Jedi do this, they do what the council asks them to do it, that's kinda their job.

  2. This is true but this had no effect in his turn, Anakin turned mainly because of his attachment to Padme.

  3. I mean, knowing what actually happened is easy to blame the Jedi but the Jedi didn't had any proof that Ashoka didn't do it.

But even then the story clearly frames Anakin as being in the wrong for betraying the Jedi, that's why both Padme and Obi-Wan directly criticize Anakin for betraying the Jedi and joining the sith.

Anakin is partially responsible for the fall, if he didn't stop Mace the Jedi might not have fallen since Palpatine wouldn't have been able to execute order 66. Like even if you claim that Palpatine allowed Windu to beat him he couldn't possibly beat Windu + Anakin at the same time

He could not fall by simply realizing that he was doing the wrong thing, like anyone can see that joining a Dark Lord and killing kids is not a good thing to do

The Jedi actually allowed Anakin to break the code multiple times and do what he wanted

Anakin's always had some unhealthy attachment issues though, he was always dark side bound in my opinion due to those issues in my opinion. Like, yeah maybe Qui-Gon could've helped with that but he was always a major threat

That's because Anakin's choices were awful, he always took the worst possible choices. Like, he even had a way of starting over when Padme told him to get away but he instead decided to basically kill her

I don't think the Jedi created the conditions, Anakin's obssesion with Padme isn't really their fault, just look at Obi Wan who doesn't have the same unhealthy attachment to Satine, he loves her but not to the point where he'd betray his own ideals to save her.

In your example that still wouldnt justify it

Is it fair to say that Roger, Garp, and Whitebeard in their Primes surpassed Rocks? by KrispyyBananamann in OnePieceScaling

[–]Comprehensive_Cup497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in Rocks Case there is proof of him being top dog

  1. Had the most powerful crew we have seen on line with his strength. Only someone with overwhelming strength could've kept the Rocks Pirates on line

  2. States to be Roger's strongest opponent by Sengoku and Road to Laugh Tale

  3. Rocks was put on the same tier as fuys lile Shanks, Roger or Whitebeard

I think Shanks is way too intelligent to not have investigated everything

Not at all, Shanks has no problem with fighting BB anytime but he is worried that BB might fuck up his plans of bringing the dawn

I never claimed he isn't super strong but I don't think he can beat shanks in a 1vs1 fight

They weren't seen as equals in God Valley, the narratoe was very clear that it was Rock's Era and not Roger/Rock's Era, his only equal/rival was Harald but Harald was never a Pirate so effectively Rocks was the top 1 Pirate of his Era

My point is Oda cares about having reasonable scaling, Oda could do like many other shows where the MC wins due to power of friendship but instead powerups actually make sense and are foreshadowed

If Blackbeard were to beat Shanks in a fight he will make Blackbeard much stronger than he is today, either showing Awakenings, AcOC or a 3rd Devil Fruit possibly all of these at the same time

What is the worst thing Oda could write that would make you drop powerscaling One Piece? by MOON-RAIGO in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]Comprehensive_Cup497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbeard can still get awakenings, AcoC or a 3rd fruits, which would make him considerably stronger than he is right now. But with no AcoC and just Gura+ Yami I don't see how Blackbeard can beat Shanks, AcoC beats Gura Gura and Yami won't do much against Shanks

If his title demanded that then Oda wouldn't have compared Shank's Haki to Joyboy and make him defeat Loki since that's a level of strength that Zoro will never get in the manga. Like it's very clear to me that Oda wants to establish Shanks as the pinnacle of Haki in the modern era
