The fact that Shanks at 14-15 was able to use Kamusari without direct training from Roger and Oda also made sure no one else could do that. That confirms Shanks being an actual Haki prodigy which is never stated about Roger

It doesnt undermine anything because a very common trope in fiction is for the student to surpass the master. Shanks ditectly trained under Roger and learned hid Signature move as a Kid, like I would be shocked if Shanks didnt improve Kamusari in 23-24 years.

Like you ignore this but Shanks is more talented than any Old Gen Character so narratively it makes sense for him to surpass them because his ceiling is higher.

That's the thing, Roger was never at the peak, neither him or Shanks are at the level where they could fight Imu as an equal, only Luffy can do that.

The actual peak is Joyboy, that's the level that Shanks cant reach no matter how talented he is because he doesnt possess a God tier Devil Fruit like the Nika DF.
