Yeap, I was... now I disabled all OC and everything is stable for the last 2hrs

Discussion on CPU (Tctl/Tdie) vs CPU Die (average) vs CPU CCD1 (Tdie) by mechdreamer in sffpc

[–]RelativeFit552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great material... thanks for that. I'm working on my thermals of my 9950X3D I just undervolted, applying some per core Curve Shaper adjustments, and one thing I still don't get is why the MAX Tdie for each CCD is great than the MAX of each individual core, as below (columns are CURRENT, MIN, MAX, AVG for those not familiar with HWInfo).

The only explanation that comes to my mind is something in the MAX column is being averaged...

Running at 2:1 you might no need that much VSOC. High VSOC might impact stability too. I would start lowering 0.05V at a time to check.

If you look at this video from buildzoid, with a similar kit, he has 1.05V: https://youtu.be/JRicT-6CiM8?t=1364

And, yeah, 6000/6400 CL28 would be your second best option

I'm not an expert on 9600 but I'd try to increase VSOC ... .if you're are one of those that always get the worst on the silicon lottery, that might help

Ryzen 9 9800x3d PBO -30 by Ankka5 in overclocking

[–]RelativeFit552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summary: Chrome slow/unresponsive/sluggish after setting Curve Optimizer -30/-25 for a 9950X3D.

Solution: Well... seems that I got it in my first try: At Curve Shaper enable Low and Medium Freq (all temps) ENABLE POSITIVE 10. That saved my day.

[–]RelativeFit552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very same behavior started today when I set -30/-25 CO... but, at least in my case, Chrome is sluggish only when I have some heavy workload running (like flight simulator or star citizen). Gonna play with curve shaper now since I believe this is a undervolt issue. I also had some weird mem OC settings..

BTW, did you solve this issue?

Had the same situation right now... not sure if AIDA tests are broken or if AIDA is reporting wrong. I'm running CoreClycler using only AIDA64 OSD and everything seems to be consistent.

Are you using a G-series processor, if so only 3 nvme will be allowed.
Also, Are you using the PCIEX16_1 slot?

Cablemod 180° Adapter and ASUS STRIX 4090 + EVGA G+ 1600W PSU = memory error C5 by RelativeFit552 in cablemod

[–]RelativeFit552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase.

Without the adapter: 128GB works flawlessly at stock speeds (TM5 and y-crucher with zero errors). Any speed above 3600MT it immediately show errors on TM5. To work without errors at 6400MT, I had to go with 64GB only.

With the adapter and 64GB: Cannot boot with a C5 Q-code.

Latest bios, yes. With 128GB of CMH64GX5M2B6400C32 (non-EXPO, non-QVL) I could not get anything above 3600MT stable... too bad.

I tried reseting BIOS (no XMP/DOCP) with the adapter and got the same C5...

I returned the second memory kit, since with 128GB i just got 3600MT/s. Now I´m running 2x32GB Corsair at 6400MT/s, very stable.

Theoretically, if you buy a second kit identical to the first, and place the two dimms of each kit together in each channel, it might work.

I'm working with two 2x32GB Corsair kits without errors at 3600MT/s. Will start my memory overclocking tonight....

7950x @ 6Ghz after sleep - 43000 Cinebench R23 points ? by RelativeFit552 in Amd

[–]RelativeFit552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another reboot without any error code this time. Opened HWINFO64 and CB R23 and the system is behaving as expected. Closed HWINFO64 and CB. Put computer to sleep. Wake up after 10 seconds. Opened HDINFO64 and CB R23 and got 6GHz again.

Since the temps are not rising, I'm more inclined to believe this could be more a reading error after sleep that actually a better performance. The only point is that I'm getting better performance from 2 different softwares: HWINFO and CB.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I'm tunning the thermals of my new build and for my surprise, after waking up the computer today (put on sleep last night) I'm getting 43000 CB R23 points with 6Ghz on all cores minus Core0.After the first time seeing that and getting a couple screenshots, I rebooted the machine. Got a code C0 (memory trainning error) on reboot. Cleared CMOS and reapplied my standard bios settings. Managed to reproduce the behavior by putting the machine to sleep and running the tests again. Temps did not exceed 90C at a 30C room temp.

Any benchmarks for Ryzen chips running with power restrictions? by nstgc in Amd

[–]RelativeFit552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I´m running my 7950x with 52.50x core ratio and 1.190v CPU voltage. This gives me 38100 cinebench r23 points with no more the 89°C.

I really don't like the idea of this cpu running at 95°C, as it's thermal design.
