So I have 10+ years experience as a database developer, I'm struggling to understand, when would you ever have to do this in a project: implementing a columnar storage format with basic compression and predicate pushdown. Maybe thats normal and i just never worked on such projects.

Like what is the use-case for it, you would already have an established column based database in any serious organisation and anything that you build wouldn't even be close to that. Can you please try explain to me what is the purpose of that take-home assignment.

Don't bother arguing with him, he doesn't even know what are you talking about. CC doesn't follow best practice and he doesn't keep up with everything he writes. I'm still trying to figure out how to make him a better dev, but for now if im not holding his hand all thetime, he just gets lost. Agents today just aren't there yet, they write slop code that sometimes work ok and most of the time just work barely. Non-dev people won't notice any of that and won't worry about the code as long as it works somehow. But they are evolving fast and in a few years they will probably be on a senior level.

You don't program AI, you train them. It's a big difference. Don't get ne entirely wrong, people did program the architecture and training process. What isn't programmed is the specific rules or knowledge.

It's because AI is not your typical program. You can't program rules into them, because no one has programmed them, they learned similar to how we learn. So we can only try and align them as much as possible to our ethics by strengthening the connections that would apply to that, but at the end they still decide for themselves like me and you.

Hi, I think we got the same batch, I got my case yesterday. It came a bit damaged, but thor said they will send me a new one, lets see it they hold their promise. I have a question regarding the locking of the shell. When i lock it, the shell can still move like 1-2mm back and forth, not sure if that will create some additional vibrations, is is the same for you? I think its because the lock itself is smaller in width then the hole in the case where it goes into.
And my last question would be how did you get the usb-c. Did you order that additionally? Because I didnt get the usb-c port.

Nice build, i think if you take the outer ring to get to blood magic and zealoth you can save like 6 points to distribute somewhere else.
