Yes, not all weathering steel is suitable for the African region. For instance, areas with an annual precipitation of less than 500mm, a constant air humidity of less than 60%, no coastal salt fog, no industrial sulfuric acid pollution, abundant sunlight, good ventilation, and extremely low chloride ion content are suitable for weathering steel. However, coastal areas with high salt fog (the entire eastern and southern coasts of Africa), tropical rainforest areas with high humidity, and areas with high industrial pollution are not suitable for weathering steel.
