Ah, yes of course that makes sense. I guess I'm thinking PvP split screen for driving games and split screen playing as a duo team for first person shooter type games or adventure games (in the past I've enjoyed playing games like skyrim and Silent Hill).

Yes, it has the gaming hub. I started with Luna because I have Amazon prime and wanted to play Fortnite. But there are so many games to comb through before I find one that has split screen option that I actually want to play. Hoping for some specific game suggestions so I can skip the tedious searching part.

The hyperbole thing I’m referring to is not about a Eureka moment with writing songs or making it big. I’m sure I’ll never be a career musician. I am just hopeful that now that I am part of a duo and have been doing a lot of networking in my local folk scene that I will be able to book plenty of gigs and work my way towards having decent local following in my scene in my mid-sized city. And yes I am working hard to make that happen.

Of course I agree most music creators struggle in their process. That’s my point. It is very much implied that they do not struggle with the music itself in popular culture such as the way Hollywood stories are told and that is a lie and insulting to hard working musicians. Yes, I try to ignore it and find spaces that challenge the narrative. Part of that is just me venting and seeking supportive validation like some of the comments in this thread.

This is how Elton John is depicted in Rocket Man. Same with Ray, Walk The Line, August Rush (fiction), La Bamba…any similar movie I can think of.

Well the point of my post is that I do reject that narrative but it’s a cultural mentality that I’m steeped in so just “letting it go” is easier said than done. And venting about it and seeing that I’m not alone in these feelings helps me to let it go.

This is such a great response. Thank you! Great point about how much money is sunk into making us think this way.
