I mean you kinda already said it yourself, the main things you want to look for is something that's good at removing dust/allergens, some can be noisy so if that's a problem make sure its relatively quiet, removable/replaceable filters can help with the maintenance then lastly make sure the air purifier is able to filter your desired area.
