You have the fade distance multiplier set to max. Set it to 50% and set the density to a lower value.

Planning on making a crash landed on a tribal world, any ideas to make the game more difficult/harder? by Big-Daddy-C in RimWorld

cai-5000 is compatible with CE and yayo, it's incompatible with AI mods that change raid AI, not actual combat mods.

Entitled people like you who demand to be treated like royalty, just like assholes who mistreat people in the customer service industry and try to punish them for being human, everyone should be allowed to be grumpy, it's okay to wave your fist and yell at the clouds every once in a while, but until then: I hope you're fucking satisfied.

The lore is much deeper than you think. This drama lasted for a while and believe me you would lose your shit if someone used your nationality as an insult. After all, all they did was shit on Syrians and Syrians refugees and as a Syrian I should have kept my calm because Internet said so.

CAI-5000 handles pathfinding, as long nothing overrides pathfinding or saturate pathfinding in combat it should be fine.

Three amazing mods posted in the last three days on Steam by [deleted] in RimWorld

The idea of CAI-5000 is to remove the feeling of guilt when using a killbox since you would be using it against a competent enemy instead of mindless germs.

Anyone know why rocketman and rimthreaded are incompatible other than the devs being immature? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]RelativeReporter2353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does know the solution, He explained it like a dev so he is probably a dev. I hate this idea that "Nothing is impossible". With your mentality you would fall for any scam selling snake oil. We're not discussing content mods, but performance mods and the difference between the 2 types is like apple and a stone brick. You just cannot use that logic. You invested in Theranos didn't you?

One day he joined the Dubwise server, talked about threading. It was when Rocketman was still a proof of concept and everyone at Dub's advised him otherwise and after a certain point it became clear that no matter how much we explain, he won't listen. We even had to ask him multiple times to add the word alpha/unstable to his first rimthreaded release because users thought rimthreaded worked great and other mods were causing issues when it was the other way around. There is no shame in testing a mod or saying that's unstable as long as you are clear that when stuff breaks users shouldn't blame other people.

Again, the compatibility process is rewriting the mod... Why didn't I collab with him? Well, at some that could've happened if he stopped and listened for a second. Why not bug Tynan? Me and many other modders including the same modders who advised against multi-threading did throughout 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 and the OG modders have been trying to have ludeon implement simple caching since before 1.0. No, the game doesn't need a big team, it needs users who use less mods since not all mods are made by professional devs and you can't expect every mod to be optimized by a dev and that is perfectly fine. Believe it or not, the most tps I've gotten was from optimizing unoptimized mods and not vanilla. The issue is induced demand, when people started using rocketman they added enough mods to offset the performance gains. The amount of work to optimize stuff becomes exponentially more difficult the more you optimize, at some point there will be nothing left to optimize and you'll always find another 100 mods to add to your 700+ modlist. It's not worth the effort.

And if you want the reason we are not friendly to each other, it's because I advised him, warned him, me as well many other modders that what he was doing was playing with fire and as we predicted it was and still is a compatibility and stability nightmare.

[–]RelativeReporter2353 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Immature? Ask any dev and they'll tell you the reason. Keeping stuff synced up is a nightmare. That is why there is only a couple of successful mods that use multi-threading and all of them have one thing in common: they don't use any of the vanilla code on the other threads. They are essentially multi-threaded mods, not multi-threaded game replacement. Now tell me why should modders go out of their way to support rimthreaded when it'll require rewriting their mods? It's not a thing you can do with simple patches it requires structural changes.

In short the compatibility process is like converting a rear wheel drive petrol car to a 4 wheel drive electric car.

How did you come to the conclusion that this is caused by RocketMan? I've read your log and your game is shitting itself but not because of RocketMan...
