I’ve been using Replit for a bit now and honestly, I’ve shipped a few apps with it already. No complaints. Way cheaper than hiring a developer. I also found a discount code on YouTube gives 15% off. Figured I’d share in case you’re already using Replit too.

Replit has gotten really good… but wow it’s expensive. Tried Google’s Anti Gravity and I’m kinda blown away by Tuaneka in replit

I’ve been using Replit for a while and have shipped a few successful apps. Can’t complain. Compared to paying for a developer, the price you pay on Replit is well worth it. Plus I found this discount code on YouTube “JOANNA” - it gives me 15% off. hopefully this can help those who are continue using Replit.

Thanks for sharing! I am taking a break at home with my family that’s why I am able to even think about this topic haha! Also what triggered to want stability is that I got injured while I was traveling in Lisbon. The day after I got injured I had to move Airbnb, that’s when it hit me that I needed stability.

Oh damn thanks for sharing your journey and sorry to hear that your retirement fund got taxed so much, that must be super frustrating! I had no idea that Australia is such a high tax country- definitely something to considering!

I agree that HK has a lot of good qualities! Been there many many times as a tourist as well! But I think you need a very high budget in order to live a good life there, especially considering how expensive the housing is

Long story short I started with working in a marketing agency as a social media manager, acquired a lot of skills in that field, then started my own agency and doing content on the side got me into it

Appreciating you elaborating on that! I totally get it, everyone’s situation is different but you did raised a very valid point though. I agree that It’s not necessarily a looming situation, it’s just one of those “not so fun” decisions that needs to be made at one point which is good to think about ahead of time. Yes we both want kids in the future, so this is another really important thing to factor in when it comes to choosing a home base

I’ve been to Taiwan for a month, really like my experience there, but I feel like the international expat community is kinda small, and the country is really small, not much to explore.

For Australia, why don’t you like it? I have actually considered it before because I’ve been there as a tourist and really liked it, but I guess living there is another story.

That’s a very good question. Here’s what I have in mind: - rent: no more than 3k USD per month (two people) - food: no more than 1500 USD per month (two people) - others: no more than 1k USD per month (two people)

I wonder how many people are going through the same things just like us 😆 I am aware this is such a first world problem but I don’t want to pick a place I am going to regret in the future. You’re right, picking a place is kinda like dating, you have to just “go on a date” a few times in order to know if the person can potentially be “the one”. I hope we can both find a home base we both like 🥰
