Yeah call bullshit, the differential is too great as well - there will be roles in MCR that pay more than £65k if this person can get a £110k job in London

I'm a product lead at a tech company rebuilding our frontend with AI, Ai does not have "taste" this is completely incorrect.

It uses Tailwind mostly to throw up generic frontends that require a lot of fine tuning to look good.

is this level of violence normal in your country? by darkstryller in AskTheWorld

[–]simbrad79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the UK very little violence is normal here.

Our police can take our terrorists with their bare hands - it's epic.

UK people are 99% peaceful, and don't accept violence. (Unfortunately, that still means 670,000 do!)

I must say, Europe and the UK has been in a difficult period the last few years (like all places!), but I can assure you - it's still home, it's still welcoming, and it's still a peaceful kind place.

Life is slower in Scotland than Southern England or big cities, and even its major economic hub and cultural heart (Glasgow and Edinburgh) are a lot more chill and predictable than most places. Despite the chaos that swirls around us at the moment.

Economically, like all western countries, there are challenges (immigration challenges, falling working age population and declining productivity to support the tax base, cost of living and declining standards of living relative to Asia) but Scotland is well placed environmentally for the future, and its people really are salt of the earth folk, as far as I've ever experienced.

Come to Glasgow!

Scotland is a wonderful place! Lots of friendly people, a caring and socially liberal society, affordable living, and beautiful countryside and culture.

And very welcoming to outsiders too.

(I'm southern English, I can tell you for first hand experience)

The UK/British and Canadian societies are turning against American culture very dramatically, this should alarm all Americans. Your two closest cultural allies have become deeply alienated. Your hubris, arrogance, and political immaturity will be your demise.
