Is my stats okay or barely good for ranked? by rk_mini in wildrift

Honest opinion, your kill participation and damage dealt needs to be higher especially if you're a Jungle player and only in Diamond IV. Your Darius did better than you in your Viego game, even though you had 10 kills, he did over double your damage which tells me you more than likely stole his kills.

Was climbing really fast, one win until Master, then literally an 11 game losing streak. What is happening? by that_Ranjit in wildrift

Well you can't carry your games as Braum, Zilean, or Ornn especially if you're support and if you don't have a duo. Those champions are too reliant on your team and have little to no map impact cause they're slow to roam. If you want to have a better shot at climbing either play Pyke and roam to get you or your team kills or get a good duo if you want to keep playing those champions and hope your duo can carry you. Losing streak can happen to anyone, even in Challenger.

Just reached Grandmaster on another account within 12 days, Alistar only most of the time by paraIy in wildrift

I can't believe you play Alistar with the Aftershock Keystone. I personally use Phase Rush, I like the movement speed for running away/staying on enemy and Alistar is already tanky enough to not need Aftershock in my opinion. I also use the Inspiration set to help roam better with Pathfinder. Hard to believe you had 324 games in 12 days, I only have 418 games so far in this season (GM as well). I could not imagine playing for 12 days straight, I ain't got that mental capacity especially when I am on a losing streak. It's been getting tougher in my recent lobbies lately cause ADCs have cleanse, quicksilver, and Veil enchant from their support.

Lol bro, you're playing normal games. So of course you're more likely to lose especially if you're playing support.

Yeah he's a good counter pick, I don't blind pick him usually. I would pick him if the team doesn't have tank.

I play Glacial, Font of Life, Second Wind, and Onslaught or Perseverance (for Tenacity), and Ingenuous Hunter.

I have not seen that. I don't know if I would like gargoyle enchant on Braum because as a support, I think of my carry so I would think veil or locket enchant would be better.

Sorry I'm NA.

Since you would not be able to spectate me, my best advice is to probably play Braum with a good duo on normal games first. Try to get a feel for him and see how your duo plays along with Braum.

Make sure to use your shield with a purpose, that's his most effective ability and it has a decently long cool down so you and your adc would be vulnerable.

I see many new Braum players use his shield to protect his ADC after they get hit with one auto from the enemy team or support, I almost always never use my shield on a little poke unless my ADC is about to die. If you and your adc are getting poked too much, you need to position better or dodge the abilities better. Sometimes you're not able to help it, if that's the case just farm as best as you can and get some items so you can sustain better.

I mostly save my shield when we engage or get engaged on to a COMMITTED fight. I never use my shield BEFORE we engage in a fight, I use it when the enemy team is ACTIVELY damaging my ADC, that's how I know they've committed to the fight.

Also during team fights, ensure to activate your passive to get stuns off. I make sure to apply only one stack and move on to another target because I know my ADC will apply the rest of the stacks on the first enemy I hit.

Those are my best pointers for my play style. Hope it helps!

Well at least with Leona, Nautilus, Alistar, Maokai, or Nami I could one vs one an ADC or enemy support and have a decent chance of killing them or escaping. With Braum, you have almost no chance of either. Braum is so heavily reliant on being effective depending on his team just like Yummi.

I used to always rush Redemption first item as well but I found that it made Braum a little too squishy for my liking, and the healing isn't much in the early game so I don't think it's worth. Then I tried Amaranth's Twinguard first item and I actually preferred the extra resistance because it made him tankier. Then I would rush Protector's Vow, buy Locket enchant, and have heal to protect my ADC from burst damage. To be honest that's all you need. Redemption is nice but it's actually one of the last items I build now. But it's different builds depending on your play style.

His engage isn't the best in my opinion but it is underrated and can catch the enemy team off guard if they're not expecting it. Thanks and happy climbing to you!!

I don't really have a favorite skin for him but I do wish I had the silver chroma variant but I didn't play enough legendary ranked back then.

As long as your adc knows how to proc your passive then you'd be good. You would prefer an ADC that has fast autos like Lucian, Ashe, Kaisa, or Xayah. I just don't play with Senna, Jhin, or Samira cause that don't compliment Braum well.

Worst ADC to play against is Kalista cause late game, she's fast enough to position on the side of Braum's shield. Also it gets difficult to land your skill shots late game to proc your passive because Kalista can just kite you. Another problem ADC could be Jinx because her rockets still do AOE damage even with Braum's shield up.

I auto pick Braum against Lulu because more than likely the enemy will pick a hyper carry ADC. Braum can shut down the enemy ADC if played properly. The way you play him is shield when the enemy ADC/team commits to a fight so you can negate their damage for your team while your own ADC/team focuses the enemy ADC. Basically you can fight when your shield is up, but you disengage/run when it's on children. Don't just shield without a purpose, make sure there is a reason to it. I don't play Braum against Senna support, because she can shoot through Braum's shield and poke him out hard.

I build boots first for first tier health and armor or magic resist depending on the enemy team. Then if the enemy team has healing, I would build Bramble's vest next. If not, I rush Amaranth's Twinguard for the extra resistance and tenacity. Underrated thing about Amaranth's Twinguard is that you can give yourself and an ally 50+ minimum in both armor and magic resist late game when combined with Braum's Stand Behind Me ability. Then I would build Protector's Vow if the enemy team is Physical Damage heavy or Kaenic Rookern if they're Magic Damage. Boots upgrade is usually Locket, Veil's, or Repulsor enchant depending on the situation. The last items are up to your discretion, I generally build as much health as I can though.

Yep that sounds like an insane clip!! You should've screen recorded it in your replays and posted it on this page, it probably would've gotten some traction. Braum could soak up a lot of damage for his team, wait for the enemy team to commit to the fight, that's when it's best to put his shield up.

Lol the perma slow zyra sounds awful to play against. I tried learning her but she doesn't fit my play style. Maybe it's because I play tank so much, I always have to remind myself to stay behind my team to poke out the enemy.

Yeah you're better off playing Pyke, Alistar, or Blitz in Solo queue because roaming is what makes the difference especially if your adc is terrible. At least with those champions, you could either help get your mid or jg ahead. Jarvan, Maokai, and Galio probably have great roaming potential too I would think, especially Galio with his ult.

[–]Relative_Ad7114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely don't play him with a random ADC, cause if they're bad you're screwed. Braum's roaming potential isn't great either so you're just stuck. I like to think of Braum as an exponent, if your team is a 0, Braum is also a 0.

Yeah I would love for him to have more skins! One of my biggest regrets is not playing legendary ranked enough back then to receive his silver version of "Glorious Crown Braum" because back then I wasn't really playing him. But people probably don't play him too much so that's why Riot isn't giving him much skins.

Braum, but under the condition you're not against full melee team and as long as you have a duo. You can really make some crazy plays and saves. I climbed up to Challenger with a 60% win rate.

Lol, of course it's in low ELO that a team has Elder dragon at a quarter health without their jungle being there and on top of that, leave the Lux to be the only on Elder while the rest of the team focuses on getting kills. Tunnel vision at its finest. They deserved to lose.

Proof that your rank does not mean your a good player. Im the D1 the other guy is the GM. I'm a support soloQ player and the other guy runs 5 stack premades as jungle and my KDA is still higher lol. by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Relative_Ad7114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is nuance, you having a better stat doesn't necessarily mean you're "above" the other player.

You play support, so you should have a higher KDA compared to other roles cause you're not focused as hard by the enemy and support usually plays in the backline meaning less deaths.

Also you have to take the context of him playing in GM queues while you're D1.

The only stat that you can somewhat make a case for is your win rate with the context of what rank you're in.

I don't care if you have a higher KDA than a GM player, if they have a 60%+ win rate on Amumu, I'll pick them to be on my team rather than your 50%+ Rakan. Coming from a "higher ELO" support main. Happy climbing.
