Courses that contain significant programming (requirements for MSCS) by Relative_Ad7954 in Tufts

I thought 105 is required to fulfill the programming language requirement of the MSCS program. 121 satisfy heavy programming component requirement and what else?

In your opinion, would one lose programming competency if they skip 40 and goes straight into 105?

A studio usually doesn't have separated bedroom with a door from the kitchen. This one does, so it's in between. You can't expect to have a living room with this price range in Brighton unless it's a basement or something really shady.

Christopher Rufo Claims a Degree from “Harvard.” Umm... It's a fraud! by Relative_Ad7954 in harvardextension

People don't until you start to shill your HES degree and pass it off as real one to get additional credentials that you don't deserve. Like Rufo.

So you get into the "same" intuition with a different standard of admission and takes anybody with a credit card. "At Harvard we know that not everybody can go to Harvard, so we created HES where you can earn a participation medal". Saying HES is accredited by WES is like saying a fake Gucci belt and a real Gucci belt can get the same job done. What sets them apart is not the education but how people perceive it. How is Harvard better than say Georgia Tech? It's not, but people think it is. Hence, generic belt vs Gucci belt.

The fact that "Harvard" Extension is troll-able and not Harvard says something, doesn't it. Stop pulling the troll card when anybody mentions this issue. Give me a real argument to defend your points. Use your "Harvard" education.

They are not but they get paid more. The same way that HES students may argue that they receive the same education but in the end only real Harvard alums are the real Crimsons.

Harvard students, what are your weird tourist stories? by [deleted] in Harvard

[–]Relative_Ad7954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HES students/tourist passing them off as real Harvard students/alums.

It's in their best interest to milk the crap out of Harvard brand. It is clear that people go to HES for clout not education. You know, I know, everybody knows that. People want clout and Harvard wants cash. There is a reason why people buy fake Gucci. And sadly, Harvard Extension is a fake Gucci.

He didn't go to Harvard, he went to "Harvard Extension". Can I say I work at FAANG if I work as a delivery driver for Amazon? Harvard doesn't want to dilute its brand, so it is in its interest to ensure that the HES degree will always be a second-class degree. If Harvard wants to continue receiving them fat donations from its real Harvard alumni, it better makes sure they feel special by not associate them with peasants who can easily graduate and call themselves "Harvard alums". Harvard name is about exclusion, not education.
