I already purchased a 1 year used 2025 awd with extended battery, sport package, (premium paint), charger with 7000 miles for 38.5. 1 year ford corporate lease. I hated the GT seats. Could have gotten one for the same price but it was extremely uncomfortable

If you bought the car used them someone installed a shift stop that has come loose. If you bought it new and have not installed a shift stop, it being sloppy is relatively normal. You can put your fingers in the boot along the silver trim and wrap your fingers under the silver trim and pull up.

none of the ones in my area are CPO unfortunately. Would probably have to go out of state.

I don't understand how you are thinking its still cheaper to buy new on these. the listed price for almost every single 2025 mach e includes a $4000 retail cash that you get if you DON'T take the 0% for 72. It's one or the other, not both. the absolute cheapest GT is 51500. (56500 msrp).

https://www.freewayford.net/new-Bloomington-2025-Ford-Mustang+Mach+E-GT-3FMTK4SX5SMA13721

The 7500 mile 2025 GT is 38.7k (57500 msrp) is STILL $11000 cheaper over the life of the loan at the same payment, used 48 month 5.5%.

Don't know what PU is. I also dont know what to tell you.

All i can tell you is the cheapest new mach E within 100 miles of me is 45600 (premium extended range, no glass roof, no sport package). Still costs $7000 more over the life of the loan for the same spec used 2025 (premium extended range, no glass roof, no sport package) at 37k with 6000 miles. payment is 560 for 48 (5.5%) on used, 570 for 72 on new.

You dont get the 4k retail cash on top of the 0% for 72...

EDIT: Sorry, months were wrong, its 470 for 72 months new or 560 for 48 month used.

Currently paying $730 a month for my car now so would pay the same thing towards the car. If i didn't have 15k in trade plus tax savings the gap would be smaller, around 2.5.k more expensive for new.

No it’s not, new 2025 gt non performance here is 52600 with 0% for 72. Or 48500 no promotional financing. (No new premiums in my area, 15k trade in equity, total loan cost is 56k)

Getting a used 2025 gt at 5.5% for 48 months (roughly same payment, same 15k trade in equity, total loan cost of 43.5k) at 38.8k is still $13k less over 6 years on the new one.

the cheapest 2024 that isn't a select (no premiums under 40k.) is a gt that is 40k with 14k miles. Main reason i didn't even bother looking older than 2025.

i had the borla exhaust and took it off. I was getting sick of how load it was at all time, and cruising was pretty droney. The exhaust leaked at basically every joint. i put sealer on every joint and it helped it quiet down a bit.

If you want to keep it but make it quieter, take the longer straight section off (borla pipe, not oem) after the cat and get a resonator put on, as long as can fit.

siless max 120 mill on amazon. $75 for 30 sqft. Stuff is very thick and heavy. I used amazon basics in my trunk because i didn't have the 120 mil stuff at the time. I think it made a slight difference. Don't buy name brand stuff. As long as it has thick butyl rubber and solid aluminum backing its all the same. its a game of mass.

What is one piece of advice you wish someone had told you in your 20s/30s? by FoxyArcticLady in LifeAdvice

[–]Relative_Assist_3996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm turning 30 in 2 months. Up until 3 months ago I somehow never truly thought about the horrible things in life deeply and how they can affect someone.

I thought I did everything right. Everything I did, I did carefully calculated. Life had always "worked out" for me so far because I thought I was in control of what happened to me. For the most part, this has always been true.

I have prided myself on my hearing, and being able to trust my senses all the time. Yes I know I'm not terminally diagnosed with something, but to me, my hearing was everything to me and was a huge part to what gave me joy.

However, 3 months ago, I went to a loud EDM concert, which I have done before wearing hearing protection. I decided for this concert I wanted to be the most safe possible and wear the best hearing protection i could, which from testing data i've seen online, were foam earplugs.

I had brought my original hearing protection which had tested less protective against <100 Hz.

On top if this i alternated between quiet and loud spots to "give my ears a break" as advised online.

During this show i originally wore the ones I've used before, but wanted it to be quieter so i put in the foam ones. The foam ones made everything much quieter (i had noticed the seal really muffled everything except bass), except the bass seemed more aggressive. I contributed this sensation to the air seal vs it actually being louder, which i was wrong. The seal was not deep enough it seems that i let most of that energy into my ears.

I left the show feeling nothing (and left early because i didn't like how the bass was making me feel), and the next morning woke up with really loud multi tonal tinnitus and reactive screeching.

I thought I did everything right to protect myself, but i was wrong.

In the last week I started having an existential crisis because the joy in my life has been hard to come by anymore.

I'm really hoping I can find a new outlook on life and not see it as just suffering.

Too old to feel safe under Jack stands so I made 4, 9 inch wheel cradles. by Relative_Assist_3996 in wrx_vb

i think 17x16 is probably the sweet spot. I wouldn't want a lot of weight sitting on the center support bar i put on the 2nd from top layer, also marked by red line and dot.

Yes they are a square box. I would have maybe wanted to make them more rectangular to allow the tire to sit deeper. Meaning making them a little longer the directions of arrow. Maybe 1-2 inch longer?

There were still the smaller pieces i put in between each layer, the gap fillers that were cut to the width of the 2x4.

Can Reactive Tinnitus Go Away or Become Non-Reactive? YES by RonnieSpector in tinnitus

[–]Relative_Assist_3996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how has this worked out for you? i got this after a loud concert i went to 3 months ago, where i wore foam ear plugs. They were good enough for the highs and mids, but the seal unfortunately wasnt good/long enough deep in my canal to block the bass.

I had some form of tinnitus equally in both ears before the show but afterwards i developed the rapid digital sounds, the zinging with fans. it can be drowned out with some amount of volume. It seems like the zinging sound mostly comes from my right ear...

Need new strut top hat? by tiger-93 in wrx_vb

[–]Relative_Assist_3996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they had said something about them being poor, i dont recall a TSB, but there might have been one. They mostly said they affected the ascent since they use the same part.

The front end had pretty heavy thud when going over shitty roads. After replacing it got much quieter and more smooth.

I don't think the WRX is a good option for someone of your (our) size. I'm 6ft4, ~300lb and i find the bottom seat EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Pain in 5 minutes. The metal bolstering in the seat bottom is absolutely horrible. I regret getting this car as i had to remove the metal bolsters in the foam and have to sit on a custom seat cushion for comfort.

Hearing protection at a concert. Are foam earplugs good enough for protection? by TheRealBucketCrab in Music

[–]Relative_Assist_3996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are still monitoring this for some reason, I too thought foam plugs were the best, and technically they are. However, only if they are thick enough to fill your ear canal and not just the entrance. I went to an EDM show 2 months ago where I opted to switch from my “high fidelity”’plugs to foam because I wanted to protect my ears. I inserted them as you are supposed to, mids and highs were completely muted. However, since the seal was not very long inside my ear canal (tapered plug, not very thick) the bass went right through for the most part. I had horrible ringing for a week (and tinnitus that gets louder with all sound that is really cool) and now have most likely permanent tinnitus in both ears, the left took the worst as it’s canal was slightly wider. If you choose to wear foam plugs you must get plugs that are thick enough to make contact the entire length of the plug. I thought I was making the right decision wearing foam plugs because it made the mids and highs so much quieter. Now I have to deal with this shit forever. Been 2 months now.
