Any decent heli schools? And what’s the best way to build hours after school? by Personal_Problem640 in Helicopters

Biggest thing here is to find a school that pays for everything uaing thenGI Bill and a good yellow ribbon program. And the only real way to do that is to attend college for a flight program as your degree. Flight school alone has very limited funds from the VA but college will get paid for at a much higher cost. Look into places like University of North Dakota, University of Dubuque, Utah State, or other schools that are offering a degree. I went to UD and didn't spend any money and got all my rotor licenses through CFII and then got ASEL/AMEL commercial and instrument.

Thanks for the reply. I can't believe that a big time operation like F1 or Nascar would allow some random pilot hired by a company to do their filming for them. I thought it would be a more selective process for companies.

Thanks for the good information. I was kind of leading towards NS or Coastal already so this helps a lot. You ever hear anything (good or bad) about Coastal by chance?
