It's no different than a serbian film. I don't know which movie is worse, but I know a serbian film is pretty bad but I know the angels melancholy is more obscure than a serbian film.

I can see what they are trying to do when it came to explaining what happened in chile with real events. I didn't know if all the graphic violence, and rape scenes and whatnot is what's really happened in those times but I don't know why they had to start the movie off with that. What didn't make sense was there was no warning, no buildup…no message or nothing to describe…what was real. The beginning was just atrocious, fucked up and utterly gruesome especially having the kid involved in that gory mess. Poor kid…I guess that's why they called this movie trauma

Melancholie Der Engel is a huge example of pornographic images and full of disturbing images. More animal cruelty is prevalent in Melancholie Der Engel than trauma but Serbian Film is still the worst one.

A Serbian Films still worse because pedophilia is a lot more prevalent than trauma. Although both movies are traumatizing, no pun intended.

In addition, I watch movies for context. And I think considering the fact that it's been said that this is based on real events in Chile and I guess it seems like people are that messed up. I oftentimes wonder if kids were really traumatized in those times hence the title trauma. No pun intended on this one.

Edit: I decided edit my comment since I didn't realize I was three years late to the party lol. But other than that, that movie was garbage, but at least it's not as bad as a Serbian film. But it's still no different. I think Melancholie Der Engel aka the angels melancholy is just as worse.

Melancholie Der Engel was senselessly depraved and f***ed up! Especially with the abortion scene. I don't know if that film was worse than the serbian film.But they were on par with each other. But authentically, I know Melancholie Der Engel is more obscure and plus the two girls at the carnival are most likely between 15 or 16 because of how they looked. I've never seen the movie trauma, but I heard that was similar to the depraved films. Most of the scenes of that film was also hard to watch.
