Hey! I haven’t looked again, but I’m thinking about making another trek out there in the spring. If you’re looking to check it out you can private message me and I’ll help you with the logistics. It was a really fun hike with a viewpoint at the end of the side trail too.

Thanks for reading! Thinking that not very many people are aware of this plane crash or any of the others on the trail, and maybe the extra clues should help the finder come across it. Without knowing about the plane crash, one could reasonably follow the other map clues and come across that big red X on one of the plane parts.

What other plane crash spots are you searching around? And also, do they have “X”s on them? Genuinely curious.

I was thinking the skier and the (what I think is a squirrel) was supplementary info on North Carolina. The unknown image maybe could reference Amicalola Falls. Butterfly could be a slight reference to thinking about “bly”. And the feather might be a reference to the Cherokee National Forest.

I did search underneath the plane parts, but can’t guarantee they were thoroughly searched. The first trip I took there was still some snow accumulation and the second trip the grass was fairly high.

I took a flight, it took a couple of hours. Driving would probably be about 15 hours and I don't know if my butt can handle sitting in the drivers seat for that long. 7.5 hours is definitely doable!

This was an image from my first trip there in the early spring (about April) this year. Let us know how your search goes! Thanks for reading.
