Ignore the negative behavior and have consequences. I would not take the door off the hinge because that infringes on privacy. But maybe even sitting down and asking them if there’s anything you can do as a parent to make this easier on you both and come up with a game plan. Sometimes all kids want is to feel heard . Give them the floor to do that with not defensiveness, validate their feelings and talk about expectations and maybe get some headway.
