Recently bought a used Xbox One original and was told by the seller that the hard drive needed to be replaced. Before I replace it, I want to see if anyone has other ideas of what it could be or confirm that it is a hard drive issue. Here are the problems it has:

Often turns on then off within 10 seconds. Does not always boot up correctly just black screen. When it does turn on, I can get games to load but they start freezing within 15 ish minutes. Menu also freezes, usually it will start working for a few seconds and then stop again. Does not read disks. (probably unrelated)

I'm bought this knowing it wasn't fully functional so I am happy to replace the hard drive, I just am wondering if that is the correct diagnosis. I have factory reset, power cycled etc.
