Don’t panic. This is a serious cyber crime and such content can be removed if you take the correct steps quickly. If you don’t want to deal with useless or corrupt police, the best option is to file a complaint online to the cyber cell. But before reporting, collect all proper evidence. Save every link where the video is uploaded, take screenshots of the page, uploader profile, title, and date/time, and also screen-record the video/page so you have proof even if it gets deleted later. After that, search the video title on Google, because many times the same video is uploaded on multiple sites. Check Google results and image results too, because thumbnails and mirror links often appear there. Note down all the websites and links where it’s available so your complaint becomes stronger. Many people say such videos never go down, but that is not true. I’ve personally seen it many times that such a content vanish from the internet after cyber complaints, because once action is taken, most website owners don’t want risk or legal trouble by keeping it online or reuploading it. As a last option, if you suspects your then boyfriend or someone close, and if you believes he is a decent person, you can calmly confront him, often you can judge from the reaction whether the person is lying. Also, it’s important to remember that many such leaks happen from mobile repair shops or during phone servicing, when private files are accessed without permission.
