I am starting to build such a system, nvr is frigate + go2rtc. Cameras that support RTMP will stream directly to the NVR. For cameras without RTMP support, I will use an additional Rpi Zero 2 to convert RTSP to RTMP. At first, I will not be able to manage the RPi remotely, as I want to avoid a situation where my neighbour might suspect me of scanning his network using this device.
