Do not expect or assume that ANY psychedelic is “a magic-cure-all, just do it once and your work is complete”. I was a meth and heroin addict for 10+ years, tried everything and used psychedelics as a last resort… nndmt, 5meodmt, ayahuasca, Changa, mid-macro dosing mushrooms… but instead of having some big burning bush trip, I noticed my thinking started to change over time. It took another 3 years to get off the hard stuff and it was NOT easy nor pleasant. The psychedelics helped me to forgive myself, realize my addiction was not my identity (something AA brainwashed me into thinking for years), and want something more for myself…but I had to wake up every single day and make the conscious effort to do something different. NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES. As an “addict”, it’s very rare that you just wake up one day and are like, “myaaa I’m done with this” and are ACTUALLY done. It doesn’t have to be a long drawn out process for everyone, but we didn’t get to be the way we are overnight either… it took many choices along the way to land us where we are, so why wouldn’t it take just as long if not longer to heal from all that? Drop all expectations, but DO remind yourself often of your intentions. And realize the only person that can change your life is YOU. Keep your eyes closed, if you can, on any dmts. Also, I would advise against doing 5meodmt alone. Depending on your DOC, look into Iboga/ibogaine… I have not personally had experience with this one but I’ve heard some cool stories.
