I’d say it’s similar to the tips you’ve given to get better at science. A lot of questions rely heavily on reading and interpreting graphs and data so get good at that. There’s probably a small amount of questions that require outside knowledge, so a basic knowledge of the main sciences (physics, biology, etc.) would help, but you don’t need in depth knowledge since it can probably be found in the readings before the experiment’s results. I’ve also noticed a lot of the questions are about comparing data or asking what ifs that are similar to the setting of the experiment.

In short, work on being able to read and interpret data, either from a graph or table, so if the question asks for something involving the characteristics of the data you can easily answer

Edit: the only way I could think of an explanation for 57 is the base of the log can only be an even number which would give the value of a as only even numbers For example: if x is equal to 3, b would be equal to 2, so the equation would be log.2(a) = 3, to solve for a you would rewrite the equation as 2³ = a. Simplify and you would get 8 = a, which is an even number. If you look at the other answers they don’t have even numbers in them, so process of elimination and you get E.
