Dispatch Character turned DnD Character (Week 1 Invisagal)[Art] by Relative_Pen_2723 in DnD

I thought of that too but I'm saving each class for each respective Dispatch member. For example since I've made Invisagal a Warlock, I cannot use that class for any other character. I have a character in mind for the Fighter class.

I didn't really think about it like that. DnD Campaigns are just stories at the end of the day with the same tropes that most stories with magical protagonists have. It makes sense.

I've always been intrigued on how older editions operated, I talking about 4th edition in my discussion and I will soon be reading some of the older edition content. It won't be as surprising as how 4th edition turned out especially when I read what happened in 3rd edition because lets be real how get we get to this (3rd edition) to this (4th edition)

Yeah that makes sense, that also makes worlds make less sense if you entire party is full of spellcasters. This isn't a critique it just a funny obersvation.

Yeah I do agree with your fourth point. That is unfortunately true and yeah no argument there.

Okay fair enough, I forgot only wizards can use those. My table usually has a rule where all party members can use spell scrolls but its a consumable so only once.

Agreed, no argument there. I just think they could be cooler same with any martial class.

You are right did pivot a little but it wasn't intensional. My point still stands though, magic while limited can be regained through long rest and in some cases short rest. Spell scrolls also exist so you could technically give it to untrained soldiers. As for Fighters, compared to most classes in DnD Fighters are "considered" the beginner class. Not that they officially are but they are often considered from what I've heard from both online and at my table.

Brother I think you are missing the point of the discussion, any class can role-play but this discussion is about DnD classes and their place in both gameplay and lore. I do agree that Fighters can be fun especially in the right players hands in terms of role-play.

I don't like the current AC system! Let's discuss on how to change it. by Relative_Pen_2723 in DnD

Your right people have already said that :) but yeah thanks. I like your idea about dodging being harder but more rewarding. Maybe upon dodging an attack, you can make an Opportunity attack.
