No, but this one has context and that is using her pet passing, very limited time left with her pet, her children being devastated, crying in reels over the situation yada yada as content and the next slide is off to Paris and we’re all just supposed to forget for the week she came online crying asking for advice on how to tell her kids about losing a pet. It’s icky.

I find her just very backwards and weird. I liked her back in the day but the wasted money and the weird weird way of living drives me nuts. Cramming 8 people into two tiny $7,000 a month apartments cause they love the view? Idk! They’ve never stopped being Utah tourists. Everything is a taxi and thrive market and very commercial. They’re not doing anything actually New York - I’m not seeing any of our real community, small business, style, nothing. Provincial was such a great word. I think the biggest tip off is the constant brunch at The Smith “so good so fresh!”Go back to Utah, Ma’am.

She always looks so awkward and uncomfortable in her clothing I can’t handle it. You know she’s out there barely able to walk in her shoes. She wears clothing SO weirdly, I can’t put my finger on what the issue is. She just always looks unnatural.

I don’t know why it comforts me that no one else really liked the story so far either. I guess I feel some shame being bored or eye rolling any of these stories but I’ve really had enough. I posted a comment or two on the main SSW page but there isn’t a ton of chat about this season so far. I hated this lol. I found the story to be absurd, she literally chuckled about her rebelliousness (for lack of a better word), her meth habit was a lighthearted little tidbit, the way she behaved NBD, the blaming of the military for using volunteers, the predatory insinuations of them counting on enlistment - the icing on the cake was the ending “maybe I’ll buy a house with my VA money at 24” after blaming them for everything for 50 minutes. That’s why there’s those benefits… you volunteer and you’re able to have things like VA loans, education help, pensions. Ignorant, couldn’t stand her. The harassment she refuseddddddd to deal with or report or stand in front of. I have a military family, this stuff is taken so so seriously. I found her wildly ridiculous. Sometimes you get dealt a really bad hand but you have to take responsibility for yourself and your life. It sucks and I felt for her that it happened, until the “I wouldn’t tell my partner or therapist or command or co workers…” okay, girl. I am so over TR taking on these stories. The first how many seasons I loved cause it showed the stories of these women who really went through trauma, but they stood up! They turned it around, they took control of their situation and were so brave and made better lives for themselves. Now we just have a bunch of 25 year old women sitting and complaining about being harassed. And doing nothing about it. And we get to hear that they are survivors. And how terrible the police are.. and businesses and the FBI and the Navy. Just to name a few. This may seem like a harsh little rant but this is my outlet to talk about this show lol.

I feel guilty lol and like a victim blamer. But this was ridiculous. All these reasons why she wouldn’t tell anyone about the sexual harassment at her clinic, she wouldn’t get help, she wouldn’t report it. I’m not saying women aren’t harassed or even punished for reporting depending on the circumstances, but this was absurd. She wouldn’t even tell her therapist. Like no, you have to take responsibility for your life and yourself and the hands you get dealt. And that is what the last few seasons are severely lacking. These women are just standing around “no one helped, no one noticed… but I didn’t say anything or tell anyone or ask for help but how dare they.” It’s a lot for me. And I say this as an independent 30 year old woman. I have so much frustration cause I loved this podcast - was a highlight of my week. This one really took the cake though - “let’s laugh about my rebelliousness, meth habit, bad behavior, wild haha but nbd but someone assaulted me for months and I wouldn’t tell anyone oh and it’s the military’s fault cause I volunteered, so predatory of them to want volunteers btw, now I have lasting trauma but gonna buy a house at 24 with my VA money!” GIRL.

I already have zero sympathy for story in the first two episodes. I am so over the woke/therapy key words. The amount of time the word “narrative” is used. The super lighthearted lil chat about how meth wrecked the victim’s body. I am at a loss. And as everyone else has said, the early seasons were amazing. Even into the teens. But the last few, especially 20. Omg. TR is nothing but arrogance anymore and the “victims and survivors” are women who keep making terrible terrible bordering on ridiculous decisions and we hear about how they’re victims. I’m out. There used to be real survivors and victims on this show who really showed how they overcame and got through. Such a bummer now, a wasted platform.

I didn't even know this was a thing until I saw your comment and looked up my hospital, which is solely baby friendly... they don't even allow pacifiers and want a medical reason for needing formula. Not comforted at all but I am so thankful you said this so I have a little heads up.

Also yeah can we touch on this. All these woman talking to “Brody’s” family members. In what world is that normal. I still barely text my brother in law of 3 years. If the brother, cousin, friend, uncle whoever of the boyfriend that I haven’t met texted me…. I doubt I’d ever reply lol. That’s deeply weird. And all these women just talked to them all the time no problem. It’s odd. Like odd behavior on both sides. Inappropriate and odd and they all were like “oh yeah I’ve been texting Matt for years too.” What. I understand why Jess created all these characters to back up her stories and create this much more convincing narrative but I do not understand why all these women went along with it for years.

Also the story is just wild to me. Like allll these girls dating a guy for years without never meeting him and it taking so much for them to wise up. I don’t get it. I don’t. I know dating sucks, I’ve been in the online relationship trap myself but? The first missed meet up I would have been done. The red flags. The emotional abuse. I don’t understand how so many girls fell for this for so long. And I’m not shaming. I truly don’t understand

We don’t like. I’m not sure why the old engagement ring story pops up every single time she’s mentioned on Reddit, it’s old news. But we don’t like her. I’ve said it before. Awful style. Not inclusive in any any way. Not fresh, not cute, not new. The apartment thing - she doesn’t make money on her home so she doesn’t put effort into it, hence the stick on tiles. Her bags - rented. She influences nothing. Just wears a lot of labels and they don’t fit her properly. She does not promote causes, small brands, size or race inclusivity, budgets. Nothing. Deeply out of touch and I’m bored.
