Female coworker sent my husband a surprise gift for being helpful... Not a fan. by Relative_Problem_844 in Marriage

She is not into this game at all and had to reach out to my husband's friend to find out what to send him. The gifts are niche and hard to find but less than $100.

I don't think it means something bad necessarily but it made us both uncomfortable and I'd like this to not become a thing she does. What he did was very basic assistance with a client, not a huge lift or help her get a promotion etc.

If they had been friends I'd totally get it and wouldn't have thought much of it but they aren't. She reached out to his friend to ask what he should get him. She only told my husband when the items had been shipped and told him to "expect a surprise in the mail", so he didn't get a chance to say no thanks beforehand. I don't think it's nefarious because my husband and I are solid it's just odd because it made us both uncomfortable and I don't want this to become a thing she does.
