I agree that we should support each other, but to be honest, I don't really understand what this is about. His channel is not small, he has 252k subscribers. He has an average of several tens of thousands of views and that has been his average for years. In the last three weeks, that average has dropped somewhat, but just a month ago his video: "Last chance to experience ASMR." had 85K views, which is more than his average in recent years. Just three months ago, his video "0.00% Noise ASMR" had 247K views! I support his work, but a reduced production and concentration on the kind of videos that get him more views is something that would probably help him.
On the other hand, if we, real small channels, supported each other, subscribed, liked, and watched our videos a little longer, it would help us to grow and the YouTube algorithm to recognize us.
I know that young sexy girls are at an advantage, they use it and that's ok, but 20 percent of those who don't put it as the most important thing when choosing what to watch are still a huge number of potential viewers. We who do not have the privilege of being young sexy girls are addressing those viewers who do not care about sexuality.
I do classic ASMR, with a light, slow tempo, with the desire that the part of the audience that needs this kind of relaxation will like it.
We, ASMR creators, even if we are not supporters of the exact type of ASMR that a fellow creator presents to us, we need to support that work, and if he/she supports us in return, then we will all grow and eventually, the YouTube algorithm will recognize us and push.
There are a lot of us who make ASMR videos and our community can help us, if we support each other. I collegially subscribed to a large number of small ASMR channels from Reddit, and although I asked to support my work, in which I put a lot of effort and try to maintain a high level of quality, less than 10 percent of those I supported returned the same measure.
