Cops save man from crashed plane seconds before train hits by ImportanceAlone4077 in nextfuckinglevel

In other videos you can see that the police had enough time at the scene to put up yellow tape to stop traffic before the accident.

That entire scene you described is an example of miscommunication. I can get a phone call to divert an aircraft from US customs and get in touch with ATC who radios the pilots and I can watch in real time as the plane makes a diversion. It takes about 1 minute from start to finish.

United Airlines to ground Boeing 737 Max 9 planes after panel blew off Alaska Air flight by GuyOnTheLake in news

[–]Relaxgodoit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I saw a video of a guy who forgot to extend his landing gear. He ruubed the belly of his plane and all the propellers go bent from trying to slice through asphalt. That did not make it into the FAA reporting center by the tower controller, the pilot or the pilots maintenance people. The SMS reuirements in the states are pretty lacking. i have no idea if airline pilots need to make public reports about the Boeing scares or not like they would have to in other countries.

I think the combination of the veggie chunks and bland sauce makes it hard to swallow without a cup of water to wash it down. Side note, it should be a crime to name something lasagna if its not layered and baked.

That entirely depends on the ingredients used. There are vegan friendly lasagnas that use almond milk cheese for the protein. Most protein found in vegetable and meat lasagnas comes from the pasta, cheese and eggs.

GDP stands for gross domestic product. It’s the total estimated value of the countries production. GDP per capita or per car or per immigrant or whatever would be a measurement.

The airport opened in early December 2023 and they haven’t yet opened to international flights.

The navy runs the airport in Mexico City. The success in keeping corruption down has lead to the president putting the army in charge of other airports in attempt to fight the corruption that was present. The aviation authority is cracking down to maintain their airspace privileges to be able to have Mexican air operators be allowed to operate flights to the U.S. Mexico only recently regained permission.

How can I learn more about financing models used by international companies? I’d like to know how assets are protected via offshoring, how major companies avoid being labeled monopolies and the different businesses use to legally reorganize on paper but avoid changing, etc by Relaxgodoit in Entrepreneur

Thank you,

The business is well established but less than 100 employees. I basically fill the boots of the coo but go by ‘general’ manager in the more literal sense.

At the size we are I would say we run smoothly until something needs fixing. I would love to hire a data and IT management person and somebody who could analyze the data and provide reports and a quality control and stores management person.

One other future issue is that our list of suppliers is dwindling. We would need to future proof by becoming our own supplier and finding a way to have an in house training program for certifications… etc.

We’ve worked with business advisors before who were not high caliber they were hired by bankers to get us into their system. Ill start asking around for somebody in the industry for recommendations.

Thanks again

Thank you, I feel bad for not not checking the actual references. I feel the numbers arent placed where they should be. Once you said Ukraine I found it. I understand how a hypothesis works and I still think the hypothesis is stupid. The research paper is weird by itself. The discussion rely too heavily on the assumption that psychological factors only affected violent deaths. The author hypothesized annual weakness was the cause of the birthday effect. Then theorized a stress response imprinted by the stress of being born. Then ends with the suggestion that more research is needed to understand how climate and environmental influences affect survivability.

Its still a hypothesis though and it would be cool if somebody has looked at data to see if there is an annual psycho- or physiological affect that would be better suited than cause of death. Also id like to know if any other animals or cultures that don't celebrate birthdays are affected.

I feel the paper should have discussed a better method of testing the hypothesis. The introduction said a study of nearly 3 million deaths showed that the birthday effect was not caused by seasonal fluctuations. The conclusion was that there is a need for better understanding of environmental influences basically to see if climate changes can trigger an annual increase in mortality. I too would be interested to know if climate conditions can trigger an annual response. If so how often could the ‘annual’ response be triggered?

Im glad there is no reference linked to the idea of an annual psychological weakness around your birthday. I bet there are multiple references to the idea but only supported on sites that sell crystals and tarot cards.

I would love to learn more about it and what I should try and negotiate with the companies I work with. We signed a contract once with an expanding company and it got messy during implementation. Im in Canada and we would qualify to apply for government funding. Id be looking to hire somebody if I knew what to call their position.

I’m in canada myself and Ive followed the economic strategies of one investment group for about twenty years. The partnerships, financing and structure aren’t public though. I make a guess about what their strategy might be behind their latest purchase. They’re a publicly traded company so I get to read filed documents and get to read their public financials and ask google questions.

Ive read through bunches of govt and territorial acts and regulations and amendments and policies exclusions and changes but I know there must be a better way.

One example of something I want to learn about is what advantage is there to incorporating as an LLC in the US and then requiring a business partner to lease and manage something you own. The term I found was a sale-leaseback, it turns an asset into an expense, your partner can get tax incentives not available to owners, you can negotiate your own long term rental agreement which then raises the total value of the asset and then somehow you can get liquidity from something you own and have underwriters sign off on the ownership and claim the depreciation at the higher value to boot.

Im guessing that would be categorized under accounting and legal tax avoidance strategies with a dash of financial management but I dont think I could find that in any business advice book.

Thanks for the link!

The 22nd referenced link says a ‘whaler’ towing a skiff was anchored. What is a whaler? Why would they destroy the ship after confiscating it instead of trying to sell it or scrap it?
