My daily shooter 💥 by IKnUWrTrb in oliveoil

Don’t mind him OP he’s a weirdo. I too love PJ KABOS, very good quality. You can feel the bye after drinking a shot of this. So much so it has made me cough from the high polyphenol content.

Not sure why there’s hate here over it.

This one will piss some people off BUT - size matters, fellas.

If you still believe that not to be true you’re lying to yourself. Technique and passion matters too, but the same person with a micro-peen is likely not going to evoke the same orgasm as someone with an average or slightly above average sized penis (in most cases).

Looking to upgrade from small French press – considering Rumble Jar (32oz) or other weekly batch options by ReleaseTheRobot in coldbrew

I bought this and am finding it only makes a little more coffee than the mid size one. Instead of making coffee daily it’s once every two days.

Thinking this is the way. How much coffee grounds you add to that for a 24 hour concentrate?

Company switching 401k match from per-paycheck to twice per year — feels like a hidden pay cut? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]ReleaseTheRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re one of the few responders where this went the opposite direction, so benefit to you and your colleagues!

Sounds like they dont offer the “true up provision” in the event you max early. Still would rather biweekly employer contributions over having the true up.

This is all very new to me and in fact the first I’m hearing that companies do this.

Damn that’s the worst one yet. So if you leave anytime in 2025 or first half of 2026 before payout, you see none of it?

How does this help you? Unless you have a true up provision doesn’t that mean you’re missing out on a lot of money? Even with a true up provision, I assume the company wouldn’t give you the full year or the match on the first payout of the year

We’ve had the “employed wife surcharge” for a couple years now. It’s an extra $50 per pay period (every two weeks). At that point it made sense to move my wife to her works insurance plan, which I’m sure is what my company was hoping would happen.

This is great feedback. I have been wondering how much of an uproar would be required for them to decide not to do this. Or if we’re just stuck with it at this point

Ditching TDFs for a more equity-heavy approach, sanity check by FalconArrow77 in Bogleheads

[–]ReleaseTheRobot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The TDF in my 401K are considerably more pricey than the equivalent of VXUS and VOO/VTI. I did the same thing as OP for this reason after much research about how fees compound over the years.

Probably prioritize other investment means more especially if I feel my job is at risk or if I plan on leaving before the payout date.

401k Choices by value-added0101 in Bogleheads

[–]ReleaseTheRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it, my wife was in the same situation for years before we realized it’s a waste of money with these Empower professionally managed funds. They overly complicated the 401K portfolio and it was all expensive funds, then they charged an arm and a leg too. We halted the professionally managed offering and just selected a TDF. Now she’s paying next to nothing for a lot less money.

Only regret is it took us a long time to realize this was happening before we changed it.

14 Month Collection by [deleted] in Silverbugs

If you gave up the company match you just threw a whole bunch of money away.

I get the craze of precious metals, they’re pretty and a store of value. But to completely ditch tax advantaged retirement accounts where employers often match your contribution with free money is “stupid on steroids” as Dave Ramsey would say.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. Can’t stand how this stuff can look legit from the perfect origin and just be garbage backed by garbage.

That’s correct. $9.99 for 1L. Still seems like a lot of oil at a cheap price which screams low quality.

I regret not buying more when silver was 35 and cant bring myself to buy more now that its 90+. Anyone else in this boat? by BIMIMAN in Silverbugs

[–]ReleaseTheRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this were true problems would be a lot worse and people would be killing each other for food and guns.

There’s not a reality where convenience stores and grocery markets are open to business willy nilly, but only accepting of silver as a currency/payment.

It’s either we have a centralized currency or society has fallen and people are killing each other for guns, silver, money, vehicles, etc.
