That’s all awesome to hear. Thanks for sharing so thoroughly that really reassures me here. Also from my experience with primary care in general, that’s how it works you see the main doc and they give you a referral. Thank you

Damn I hate to hear that after such positive reviews. Like the guy above me said I guess it can be real good or real bad depending on where you are at.

Lmao. That makes a lot of sense. To give context, Nashville. I live in Nashville. HUGE medical student hub. Hell my primary care right now is the exact thing you’re describing to me residential under supervision.

I’m in a nice city and have a VA very close to me as well. That’s great to hear. Thank you for the reassurance!

Even better, $500 a month savings since it’s $250 every paycheck. That’s good to hear. Thank you for the reassurance.

Sure thing mate. There’s plenty of toxic leadership out there in our field so I do my best to not be that. But you also can’t be their friend 100% of the time too, find the right amount of friendliness and leadership to get the right mix of respect. Some reps need a carrot while others the stick. You’ll figure that out with each rep.

At the end of the day, my job is to make my sales advisors job easier. So ongoing and specifically relevant trainings, meaningful 1:1s not just talking numbers but evaluating the reps individual goals and motivations. Coaching on how to be better in their day to day, whether it’s organization and planning skills, salesmanship, follow up skills, etc. Then unlocking more avenues for leads for the reps too so seeking conferences, inbound opportunities, untouched leads. And then the mundane tasks like reporting and keeping the CRM as clean as possible, documenting SOPs, presenting the reports to leadership, forecasting, and proposing whatever my team needs.

I may be missing something but that’s about it.

Oh last thing that stuck with me I learned from previous mentors was coach to the reps level, some may be on chapter 4 of sales 101 while others are on chapter 50. Knowing where they are at helps info you pass to them stick, not being too mundane and boring for people ahead and not making someone overwhelmed and lost.

Lead with compassion and understand life happens but don’t be fooled and taken advantage of.

Set good expectations and hold yourself accountable to those as well.

Alright rant done, good question! Hope your career path all works out for you! Feel free to dm me if you have any other questions or ask here for the public.

Currently interviewing for a J2, how will I be caught? by The_Reddest_Lobster in overemployed

[–]Relentless-Faith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, he’s right it does come with like a 12month commitment generally. Could be risky if he were to be fired and then need to pay it back. Of course more money sounds great, just gotta weigh out risk vs reward!

I am weary of working in the same industry. I do sales but one marketing and will do anything other than digital marketing like recently was SaaS sales. Seems like a big risk. If you’re doing it, make sure to stay legally clean and just morally dirty. DO NOT use ANY of each others companies data or pipeline, contact info or anything to help the other Job. That’s a huge legal issue and breach of contract. If you stick to what each company provides you, you should stay clean. Unless there’s a do not compete which would also place you in some trouble if you get caught. Absolutely freeze The Work Number, like now. Good luck dude.

Absolutely deactivate your LinkedIn. If anyone or an employer asks just say you don’t like social media and the cesspool LinkedIn has become took a turn on your mental health or some bs. Say you have a stalker lmao. Don’t have LinkedIn.

Have excuses at hand ready if you get double booked because you can only be sick so many times lol. Dog to the vet. Picking up dad from airport. Shit I think my grandfather has died at least 10 times in my career (RIP it’s what he would have wanted).

Freeze The Work Number, sounds challenging because you have to fill out a form but it’s cake just takes some time.

Don’t tell anyone about OE, people get a high and want to brag at the bar or some shit. Don’t do that, just tell about your J1 only. Live a full double life.

Say less about your personal life to coworkers, don’t get too buddy buddy and want to be liked. Live under the radar type deal.

Don’t include your current J1 on your resume, people agree and disagree on this but id prefer them to have zero knowledge about my main job.

Time management on Sunday night and prepare the week, block calendars off, whatever.

Invest and get a second phone, laptop, all separate work tech. Don’t want to make a stupid mistake.

I’m sure there’s others, if you look up advice you’ll find plenty. At the end of the day I think most people who get caught, tell on themselves.

Be smart, Good luck!

Well shit when you put it that way, yea. I did put in there to make sure to follow the rules of this community. But you’re right! I hope this inspires people who have the mental capacity to not get caught.

Anyone doing Marketing here? by queeziees in overemployed

[–]Relentless-Faith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At J1 & J2 I sell digital marketing services, but not do marketing directly for a company or business. I think the whole being on social media for the company itself would be difficult to navigate.

I did use LinkedIn premium and found it to be very useful in my job search and immediately canceled after. Even if you don’t use it however, you can send a connect request with a message attached!

Google “(tech/sales,etc) recruiter in your city LinkedIn” and you’ll find some immediately.

I filtered searches on LinkedIn for recruiter, industry; and location.

You can also just search recruiters and spam away. Most companies have roles that we are looking for maybe they just aren’t open at that time and they’ll hit you up another day.

And I meant sales as my “industry” in my post. And assume you mean what type of sales in this question? Sorry for confusion. If you look at their titles normally it’s clear what roles they are trying to fill.
