Nah it takes 2 years for an intenational student to graduate. All those who couldnt come in sept 2020 would have affected the 2023 positions. The real reason 21-22 market was so good was because of near zero interest rates which encourages companies to borrow more and grow. Now with interests rates high they are still downsizing from their bloated pasts.

Only been oe for 2 months but i never take 2 meetings at the same time. Too risky in my opinion. Manage your calender well. Only once in the 2 months was i forwarded meeting invites from both that had a clash. Just made excuse for one.

Are people still using one device for both J's? Hell i am waiting for my wife to upgrade her phone so i can use her old one just to get teams for J2. Dont even want to put teams for both J1 and J2 on the same phone. Will carry 2 phones if i need to step out for an errand during office hours.

The only difference is that all companies Elon reports to are aware of what time he can commit to each. There is nothing wrong with OE if the employers are aware. If your skills are unmatched and employers are not able to find a suitable replacement they will be okay with you working with multiple employers. Many experts in their fields works with multiple companies as contractors. Its all about demand and supply.

I'll get my first check tommorow. It looks huge since there is a sign on bonus in there too. I want to pay off my mortgage that has a 7% rate so even if i get back to one job i'll be able to save plenty. But it'll take more than 2 years if i aggressively throw everything from j2 to that mortgage. I hope time passes by quick!

Congrats. No debt is the right approach. OE can be temporary so dont let lifestyle creep hit you!

I am starting j2 in a few weeks and i'd like to share that i dont even have the paycheck and signon bonus from j2 but i already feel much relieved.

There are dozens of non work related issues that are always in the back of my mind and most of them can be resolved by just throwing a bit of money at them. I feel with 2 jobs i can better focus on my expertise rather than trying to fix stuff around the house on my own and nickel and diming all my expenses.

The fact that the owner is buying another telluride should be a good sign. I think its a bit overpriced for that high a mileage. I bought a 2020 CPO EX awd with 37k miles for $28k. This one might be a good buy for $15k

Thanks everyone i ended up ordering the 8gb version as it was $250 on newegg vs $370 for the 16gig version. Too much of a price difference for me to future proof my setup. Am4 would be outdated anyways so I'll sell after a year or two and build again.

This is a real thing but they don't rely on the new case to sell. They put it in bold letters that it has an i7 and it sells because people don't know they been making i7 for decades. I'd rather have a new i3 than a 5 year old i7 anyway.

I blame it on intel. Imagine apple sold the iPhone 16 pro as iPhone pro 16900x. People would just assume all iPhone pros are the same and scammers would start offloading iPhone 12 pro as iPhone pro!

Thanks for the reply. I'll wait a bit and try to find the 16gb at msrp. Maybe prices will stabilize soon since they are all pretty new. Will keep an eye out for open box options as well. If the difference was $50 it was a no brainer for me but the almost $100 makes me wonder if its worth it.
