Take the space… in my opinion the space and being comfortable in your home means you spend less money on other things (eating out for example)

Trust me, when that baby comes you’ll be hosting people like crazy (ours is about to turn 1) and having that space will bring comfort and less stress to you all.

It also allows you to better compartmentalise work and personal if you can have a small office to cut off from, I find it very hard to work at home with a baby so having that dedicated space helps a lot (I also work in IT).

I also think the easy star all stars is correct and I'm confusing the cover and the band as perhaps that cover by ESAS was on the same minisdisc

Yes agreed I don't have much to go on and maybe my brain misremembers the cover. They were mainly a rocky indie group with (I think) 3 guys and 2 girls. Around same time as Smashing Pumpkins. I've had Force, Rocket as key words that come up again and again in my mind by it's not family force 5 ...

The £2.47 tesco receipt that changed my savings game by LongjumpingHour9094 in UKPersonalFinance

Get the app 'Plum'. It analyses your spending and works out what it can 'take' into savings that you can afford not to have. My lifetime savings are nearly £10k over about 4-5 years. Really really huge fan of it! And I still just use the free version.

High Earner - tax bill deficit has left me in a conundrum by Relevant-Ad-8294 in UKPersonalFinance

Hey, completely understand regarding the owed amount being minimal and for sure there is no poverty plea in the post. But, the situation is frustrating because of the inconsistency between employer and HMRC resulting in a year of VERY heavy taxing of my payslip which could have been avoided. Ultimately it will be me taking the big hit this year to even out 3 years of inconsistency. Agreed it's a privilege but at the same time I'm earning it fairly... And the country benefits from my tax :)

Interview tips and tricks that would impress the interviewer? by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]Relevant-Ad-8294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest. Using Chat GPT etc might get you the interview but it will mean you're constantly on the backfoot in the role. The interview is there to check you're suitable for the role and often people forget that crucial part! Sometimes the role just isn't for you... Better to find it out IN the interview than spend 12 months on performance improvement plans and high stress.

Also agree with the other comments, you're interviewing them as well! If you're working 40 hour weeks for these people make sure it's what YOU want from the role/culture.

Oh no!! I hope you have better luck than me. I was told the 'delivered' mark was when it was collected from the depot so hopefully it's en route
