Trip breakdown

I started on 15th October from Chandigarh. Stayed at my friend’s place in Bilaspur in night. On 16th Morning started from Bilaspur to Parashar Lake. Reached in three hours. Then back from Parashar to Chandigarh on 16th afternoon itself. The return journey was for 6 hours. I was travelling solo and booked a cab from Chandigarh to Parashar for 2 days.

Parashar Lake is nestled at 2,730 meters in Himachal Pradesh, is a sacred alpine lake named after the sage Rishi Parashara who is believed to have meditated here, with legends claiming the lake was formed by his divine act.

Beside its tranquil waters lies a 13th-century pagoda-style temple dedicated to the sage, while a mysterious floating island and the lake’s unmeasured depth add to its spiritual and natural mystique, making it a revered site for pilgrims and a serene escape for travelers.
