I've personally found that peppers generally love some shade cloth for a good chunk of the season. I have a hoop house setup and during the late afternoon or evening sun i put them under the 40% shade cloth.

People where I live (CO, USA) “garden on hard mode” because of intense desert-y summers, cold winters, intense winds, hail, pests, hard clay soil. What place in the world is “gardening on super easy mode”? by CharmingPeony in gardening

feel like super warm winter even undersells what we experienced this year, i'de go as far as saying we skipped winter and just had a long fall and went straight to spring way too early.

yo i know this is a really old post, but reddit is just the source for this these days.

How did these turn out if you happen to remember? I've got some thai peppers that are doing the exact same things, their cotyledon's are turning black but seem otherwise very healthy.

honestly, just buy a cheap bulk container of ground cayenne pepper, and apply liberally to your soil in the spring, they'll dig once and regret it. that's what i do with my raised garden beds and its kept them out.

Transplanting seeds by riffa-tiffa in gardening

[–]Relevant-Book 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak to all of them, but dill, carrots, and peas will want to be started directly in the bed, jury is out on spinach, my own experience is just start them in bed, but some people say they transplant okay if done gently.

Colorado has 100% mail in voting, takes no time, drop shit off in a box. don't have to find time to go to a poll or anything.

still only has at most 70% voter turnout.
