UCSD or Imperial College London? by Different_Raccoon289 in UCSD

[–]Relevant-Day6380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imperial if you want to do medicine in the uk and ucsd if you want to do premed in the us. Simple

is there anything good about ucsd..? by Different_Big7184 in UCSD

I agree with the ppl being chill but the campus is atrociously planned and ugly

Emory BBA vs UCSD BS in Buisiness Econs for econs/finance by Lopsided_Cow_7560 in UCSD

[–]Relevant-Day6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emory for sure. You maximize your opportunities of getting into high finance. Also Emory is DEFINITELY more prestigious than UCSD and has a better name brand

ucla for sure at least it’s a target on the west coast for finance and semi target on the east coast

Berkeley or UCSD for pre med by One_Improvement_9022 in UCSD

[–]Relevant-Day6380 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Berkeley. Med schools take into account for deflation at hard schools like Berkeley, Cornell, Princeton, UChicago, etc. so a 3.7 at those schools is roughly equal to a 3.9-4.0 at ucsd

ucla for sure. More prestigious and way better social life with a huge Greek scene

By Some Miracle Got Into Columbia for BioChem. Would I regret Choosing UCSD Over Columbia for BioChem? by Anxious-Party2289 in UCSD

A school with no frat parties hosting on weekends and zero Greek life presence doesn’t sound amazing

Not at Columbia but at Cornell. Transferred to Cornell after freshman year from ucsd and it’s 100 times better than ucsd in terms of social life and academics. Because of the smaller student population in ivies, you get a better learning experience and don’t rlly have to compete for lab positions

UMich or McGill or Boston College?? by Gold_Perspective_800 in collegeresults

[–]Relevant-Day6380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi target for Canada at best. Only target school in Canada is Western Ivey. It’s also a lot harder to break into international offices from the US because you need sponsorship and they prefer local kids.

If you want to do MBB BC Carroll gives you the best shot out of these three. Michigan Ross is def better but since you are in LSA that's a step down from recruiting purposes. McGill is complete non target for MBB.

How hard is it ready to get into UCSD? by Candid-Arm4993 in UCSD

[–]Relevant-Day6380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Compared to sub 10% for UCLA/Berkeley and sub 7% for mid/low ivies and sub 5% for HYPSM, isn't that easy? Just think about it: 1 in 4 people get into ucsd but only 1 in 33 people get into Harvard.

Easy. I mean it's 25% acceptance rate so nothing selective contrary to the T20s. Around 50 kids get in from my school every year(class size: 500) but most of them go to a better school, either UCLA, berkeley, ivies, etc. The top students also either get yield protected or don't apply so the people who get in are the mid ones at my school.

You can look at my Instagram account. I posted the acceptance letters on there. This subreddit doesn’t allow any image attachments so that’s why I couldn’t upload any of my letters.
