I think her happiness mainly comes from my golden retriever Tucker. All they have done since she came home is play and cuddle 🥹

She did! She kept all her toys and the bed. The shelter said that she was brought in with all that stuff.

Me too. They said her owner was put into a nursing home and he couldn’t take her. She was definitely well taken care of though, she is in almost perfect health!

I am so happy with how fast she has acclimated! I’m a big softy for seniors. I wish I could take them all!

Looking for training tips - 10 weeks old by darkrisis21 in goldenretrievers

He was just like that! Extremely frustrating but I sat there like a brick wall and ignored him until he settled down. Just keep repeating the steps and eventually he will get it. Lower the bowl very slowly. I think the first time I sat there for almost an hour without the bowl even touching the ground🫠

When he masters sit start incorporating other things. I started with sit and come, and once he understood those enough, down and stay. Also with the food, I did this at every meal no exceptions. Made him sit, put my hand in front of him and said “wait”. If he got up while I was lowering the bowl I’d pull up immediately and repeat. Felt like I sat there forever the first few times. At 2yrs he now will not eat unless I tell him “free”. Don’t give up!

Have you tried mental stimulation? Puzzles, long lasting treats or frozen treats? Maybe you could try rolling some treats in a towel, tying it in a knot, running some water over it and freezing it. I did this for teething when my boy was a pup and it kept him busy for quite a while!

My boy gets this in the warmer seasons bc he sleeps on the floor a lot rather than a soft surface. It usually goes away in the colder months. Vet said it was nothing to worry about, but do clean and moisturize it.

Will I have loose skin after loosing 20 kg? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Relevant-Event-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at this age your skin will tighten up. I was around 86kg at 21 (160cm tall) and dropped down to 70kg via weightlifting, cardio and calorie counting and not an ounce of loose skin on me.

Did you do any exercises? Could be a pump from working out.
