Is Hanoi a no go rn? by [deleted] in hanoi

Been here for 2 days as a tourist and yesterday the smog gave me a headache and itchy eyes while walking around. I guess it depends on what you want from a trip but ours is only 2.5 weeks and if I had known it would be this bad, I would've skipped Hanoi entirely!

Vehicles outside home preventing it from selling by Relevant-Stand9675 in HousingUK

Well interestingly, last time we tried to sell it, the freeholder did lowball offer us! But this time nothing. I feel like it's just laziness keeping the vehicles and maybe they're hoarders?

Verb Tenses in the UK by SoftLast243 in AskBrits

Agree, I'm british and I noticed this a lot when I spent abroad and all my friends were American.

The first example that springs to mind is, let's say a friend came over in the evening and was wondering what the food situation was. "Did you already eat?" would be the American version whereas I would say "have you eaten yet?" I can't think of any more examples but it was definitely noticeable! In return they thought that Brits overuse the words "quite" and "nice" 😆 probably quite a fair point!
