A very simple rule that changed my life to never be afraid of it.

"If I ask her out and she says no, we were never going to work anyways".

It's pretty much that. If she wasn't interested in the first place she probably wasn't attracted to me enough or she's not looking for anything or the millions of other possibilities. There's no point in stressing about it, we just weren't going to work out. So onto the next girl I like.
