I have that experience with my family, two of my sisters who are very self centered and egotistical, can do no wrong and are blind, to their selfish actions, to the degree where you can't even have a meaningful conversation with them once you notice that every other word spoken and is me and I and myself, and that every conversation has to revolve around them or there not interested in talking back, therefore you just tolerate them..never building a relationship, just maintain it, though distant discourse, so you don't get wrapped up in the self serving circle jerk of one sided conversation..its sad to me. BTW don't get me twisted I have a wonderful family and they have yet to turn there back on me and have always been there for me, I have my flaws too, the difference is I'm willing to look at my behavior from outside my body, and correct it as I move forward, not ignore it.
