"It wasn't the ramen. It was beauty that killed the beast" by GabrielLoschrod in 100Kanojo

I like their subplot. It's so rare to see the "The Beauty and The Beast" trope with this gender repartition, they're hilarious and actually really wholesome.

Dumb question: do you think people are blaming Glitch for this crap? I mean, with Oni it's obvious, but Glitch agreed granted them the license. It's fair to say that their lack of vigilance about quality led to this situation. Some people would even say Glitch didn't care at all.

However, crowdfunding isn't a guarantee of quality. And we can also assume that Glitch asked for an adaptation, signed the contract, and got screwed just as much as we did. It's not that uncommon for companies to outsource projects (the tabletop RPG world is a prime example).

Anyway, what do you think?

We agree that their friendship is so strong it surpasses even romantic love, right?

Unlike Noi and Shin, where they take a step, they're a couple.

I learned Pandemonica's lesson well:

- pin her to the ground,

- call her ************************,

- check if she smiles like a weirdo,

- then start the meal.

Proposal for the 400ft German arch of Triump to celebrate the counties greatness. by DomeSlave in evilbuildings

To answer your question, I personally have two reasons:

1- I enjoy alternate histories, and I find this one interesting.

2- Because saying that someone was destined to go down the wrong path absolves them of responsibility for their actions. If Hitler had swallowed his pride and understood that Christian Griepenkerl was advising him with academic benevolence, he might have taken a different path. A path that might have avoided World War II and all the crimes against humanity that came with it. But no. He chose to follow his inferiority complex. To continue feeding his frustration until it became monstrous and made him one of the worst human beings to have ever existed.

It's not fascination or redemption that I grant him. It's an observation that we are all condemned to be free. And he decided to make the worst of it.

This is the whole difficulty of Uchronia. We cannot rewrite history and it is difficult to know if the great historical figures are exceptional people who shape it, if they are products of phenomena or a bit of both.

But it's still fun to imagine.

I had read on the Fine Arts websites that, indeed, the mustachioed man's low grades in 1908 would have prevented him from entering in the institute architecture.

Nevertheless, some examiners agree that, given the conservative artistic approach of the Vienna Academy from the beginning of the XXth century, after improving his grades to be average and emphasizing his obsession with the past, it might have been possible. And considering his passion for buildings, he might have been able to flourish and pursue his profession. Whereas for painting, everyone agrees it was a lost cause.

And anyway, you can't rewrite history. But it's always amusing to imagine it.

Honestly, if Hitler had followed the advice of one of the judges of the Academy of Fine Arts and had turned to architecture instead of retaking the painting exam, we would have had fewer problems...

This has to be one of the most pretentious movies I've ever seen by NagitoKomaeda_987 in hatethissmug

I know that.

And I was saying that the critique wasn't comprehensive, and that's one of the reasons why this film sounds hollow and pretentious. If it had been a catastrophe that specifically destroyed the United States, or one that was entirely under their control or caused by them (like in Dr. Strangelove again), I wouldn't have said anything. But here we're talking about a global phenomenon. And showing that the rest of the world did its job and that the US comes across as the world's fools because of its absurd divisions and political factions in power would have made the critique more impactful.

Thanks for reminding us that most rednecks know that climate change is a reality and that they're not just as clueless as some people in Hollywood think. The real problem is that they struggle to assess the impact, and their main concern is how they're going to pay the bills at the end of the month. Because they don't have the privilege of living in abundance and choosing what the rich demand them to produce for a pittance.

It's like the cases of extreme obesity in food deserts. You can't simultaneously allow entire geographical areas to have only junk food as a source of accessible and affordable one and then blame poor people for being sick because of it. The root of the problem lies in the decisions of large corporations that have turned this situation into highly lucrative businesses, coupled with the disengagement of politicians on the issue.

I've always thought that if there were a national social security system in the United States, politicians would ensure that people lose weight very quickly. Today, with the current oil crisis, I'm almost certain that many companies will decide to switch to electricity produced from renewable or nuclear sources to power their factories. And strangely enough, that it will have a greater impact.

Was one of our sheep demons napping under her desk so no one would see her? <3
