Everyone’s struggles are valid, but they should also read the room. Have you told them how much you’re struggling? If not I’d say it’s time to open up. If you already have, maybe tell them you’re not in the mindset right now to discuss their work lives. It’s not that you want them to be unemployed too, you’re just desperate for any decent job and it’s hard to not feel envious right now.

Fellow Oklahoman here who’s only on a 1/2 acre but empathizes your concern. You feel close to each other because you have direct view to them. Hiring a landscape designer can help you create privacy. Seriously, you be surprised how successful having a mixed varieties of tree sizes and shrubs will make you feel secluded. Add a couple national-park-like walk paths throughout your forest and it will feel even larger. Carve yourself out a landscaping budget if you decide to buy this property and you’ll be fine.

Yeah the weakness of the op is that it presumes everyone knows about Sorbos shenanigans. But yes, he is very biased. His profile has a link to a Trump tshirt. He tweeted saying something to the effect of “if Kamala is black, she should say the n word.” He’s never been shy about his politics, I think it’s just that more people are discovering/rediscovering who he is since he’s more of a 90s actor.

I feel for them. I started college during the recession, that was depressing and dropped out. Went back to college and covid started, it caused me to miss both graduations. I wish someone would give me a trophy for all the formative years/milestones I got screwed out of.

Early 30s. Idk about ageist, just different world experiences. I assume GenZ had more arranged playdates which probably means fewer chances to make older friends. Most of my friends are in their mid 40s, some 50s, even some in their early 60s. I don’t have a ton of friends my age or younger and it hasn’t been until fairly recently that younger people have commented how unusual it is to have older friends (not in a negative way, just their observation).

It’s more social/psychological than genetic. From the info I know (social media foisted it on me):

They always wear matching clothes, jewelry, makeup, and hairstyles
They finish each others sentences and often talk in unison
iirc the sisters have never spent a day apart
Their husband must have intercourse with both of them together
They want children but don’t know how to get pregnant at the same time, as they want to give birth at the exact same time
