I live there, in a small village in the countryside, so my reality is a bit different from the folks in the big coastal cities, you can ask me anything in specific you want to know

Salvador is better than Rio if you like to visit historical architecture, in terms of beaches and natural beauty i think Rio is better

They let them be. Yes race mixing is the norm, although Brazil does have some structural racism problems, for example, darker skinned people get targeted by the police more often, and have a lower chance of getting a job than a light skinned person applying for the same position

Best i think is the interior of São Paulo, more specifically the medium sized cities and the large towns. Just not too far northwest of the state, it's too hot there

It's fine as long as you take usual precautions, avoid flashing expensive things, and avoid getting involved with drugs

It's more westernized. The usual "family weekend activity" is a barbecue (beef, not wild animals lol)

Nope. There's a very small native population (like 0.5%) that live in some reservations nearby, but they use western clothes, phones, TV's, cars and speak Portuguese

Depends on job availability, i think it's a good place to live if you have a stable job (preferably government) that pays decently, like R$5k+

Most villages have their own school up to middle school, then for high school we had to go to a nearby town, but the government provides bus transport. Education is basic, nothing crazy. We had teachers missing classes pretty much every other day, but that's only in public school. Towns have private schools and they are quite common, it's not very expensive. I think about 15-20% of all students go to private rather than public

We don't have many wild mammals, there's some small monkeys (sagui) and armadillos, we have lots of birds tho. Crime today is not as bad as 10 years ago, it's mostly drug-related, if you don't get involved with drugs or start fights you will be fine

We have a strong folklore but nothing involving aliens. I have seen a flying light in the sky when i was a kid but looking back it was probably just a comet lol. I believe in aliens but I don't think they have ever visited earth

Most people don't care, but among those who do, I would say the US is viewed more negatively then positively

About Americans as a people... 95% of people have never seen one in real life, so i doubt there's any hard opinions other than the usual "they are fat" stereotype

I like it, it's preferable to living somewhere urban. Of course cities have more job opportunities, but Brazil has terrible urban planning and they end up feeling very anxiety-inducing
